Hilarious intro; and 100% accurate to all the noise I was seeing with Maverick straight out of the box. Without having Maverick in hand yet, even I can tell that FT probably mistransformed it on purpose for a safer shipment. Also, great transformation breakdown. It really gets into FT’s mindset on what they had to do, to get this guy to transform.

Problem with FT is if you don't adopt early, you might have to pay for the late tax. Still as much as I want the FT for the robot/plane modes, I'm extremely happy with my Zeta versions. I love the easier transformation and the action figure like build to them. The go in line with my MP Starsaber where I can just pick up Starsaber and play with him.

I often find myself wishing for more expansive articulation when it comes to FT figures. Good sculpt, solid build but when it comes to posing there aways moments where i wish they could have modded the joints more for allowance.

That transformation has to be one of the best they did - yes complicated to get the right shapes and functionality, but not fearful or super frustrating. I would prefer him more cream-colored and some other details (because I and my brother rather loved the toy, esp. the alt-mode, that robot was pretty bad), but he looks very well done. One small niggle: if you have to have those rather involved panels around the shoulder anyway, couldn't they have found a way of getting that panel to swivel to the inside (where there's a gap, right?) in the alt-mode. But, maybe they decided against it since that would have been that painfully frustrating bit of the transformation they now left out!

I kinda agreed with you that the loose red pegs are bombers when transformed to jet mode. Fanstoys could have made some magnetic pegs to secure the pegs to metal chest.

Great video as always Bobby! The beginning before the intro had me rolling. The sarcasm is truly strong with this one! My complaints with him are the same as yours. If he had more range of motion in his arms, head, and ankle rockers he would have been damn near perfect. Other than that he is an incredible figure. Another great vid there. I'm pleased to see that FT covered the whole figure with some nice paint. He'll have a great presence even with the slightly limited articulation. Hopefully the tension joints won't loosen too quickly as time ticks on. I gotta say, I loved the so very thinly veiled snark at the start of the review! Good times :)

This pice is one mix bag for me. Is gone be my first FT offer I get in hand and even the shop send it to me very fast ( 4.VII send to me) but I get it tomorrow for what I see in post side. Plus 3 later pack get to me faster than it so is so missing luck. Very glad to see a fix from you so I get his part out faster. But how complex and beautiful is build, the ,,lack" of articulation make me file is the biggest ,,Achilles heel''. Is for me very similar to CHUG Silverbolt lever. But hope to see is be better in hand when I have both in hand next to the camera. Thx for rev.

First thing we have to get out of the way is, did anyone else notice how clean Bobby's fingers were? But really did we truly have any doubt that this wasn't going to be a great figure. I think are biggest concern, at least till we get some limbs, will be how this will hold up in combined mode, specially over time. Another great and enjoyable video as always.

Well Bobby I guess you called it when you said these things were too damn heavy to ever combine properly. You made a statement at one point saying that we'll just have to wait and see but apparently that time may never come because Hasbro is currently suing fanstoys. Subsequently, the final figures to complete the aerialbots and stunticons may never see the light of day. As a result, we all got screwed. I believe they planted this from day one and they knew they weren't going to be able to create these combiners into a larger robot. Now they have a perfect excuse to seize operations. I'd like to know your thoughts on this Bobby so you're next post to cover this horrific topic.

Love this dude. Mine came properly transformed except for those shoulders, I was surprised...kept looking for shit to fix and there was nothing. People only hate on FT I think because their over-the-top fans won't shut the fuck up about how much better they are than everything in EVERY conversation about any 3P figure. I love the company, very few offer the level of aftercare they do. I do wish they'd relax on the diecast, but I do understand they don't make them to be manipulated much.

Great figure but not enough for me to double dip. Would have liked some comparison shots with Zetas but I'm guessing I'll be able to find those elsewhere easily enough!

Thank you for mentioning where the red on the thighs comes from. It never occurred to me to look at the transformation to combined mode. What do you think of the idea of just leaving the jet nose straight down without splitting it? It isn't ideal, but the question is whether it is better or not. It is how the G1 toy was so at least there is history for it.

A comparison between this and Zeta is a must. As long as Bobby comes down off the rage 😂. I agree there are some haters, and there are also some folks who jumped the gun on out-of-the box pics that hit the internet, and somewhere on the Venn diagram those two groups converge ... but not everyone who criticizes is a hater, and there have been plenty of other figures where people have jumped the gun on early pics. Welcome to the interwebs, everybody. Would have liked to have seen a side-by-side with Zeta here just to tee up the Versus.

Toy Guy experience for me wasn't so great. It took 2 emails over the course of multiple days to get a response to a simple 1 figure order i placed. It took even longer to ship it out after i paid. I did give him the benifit of the doubt... you know "life happens". Sadly the 2nd time i tried to order I got no response at all (it's been weeks now) & gave up on ever using him to purchase figures. Im sure he's fantastic to buy from, you know with your "celebrity" status ;p... but to mere men such as myself maybe not the same priority is given :( just sayin. Anyway, great review as always!

Wow. That Silverbolt "Maverick" from Fanstoys is a big dood. He kinda is a little too large (but so is their Motormaster "Roadking") - he kinda dwarfs the Magic Square Optimus, but not by too much to be ridiculous. On the other hand, maybe they took some notes from Hasbro's playbook; pretty sure that Combiner Wars Silverbolt is quite a bit taller than the midget that is Classics Optimus Prime. Not necessarily a fan of these, buuut...I'd probably go with the Zeta one, just because...if I remember your reviews on that set, you made a point that I thought was rather hilarious in that it seems like because of the partsforming, the main robot almost ain't needed for the combined mode.

Listen up everybody I just found out from my sources over at eBay that fanstoys is currently in the process of being sued by Hasbro. Subsequently, fanstoys May conveniently not be able to complete the stunticons and aerialbots combiners. I find that this is extremely convenient as they are just about to release the final figures to complete these sets. Therefore, I have deduced that Hasbro is working in conjunction with fans toys as both companies are criminally accountable. Fanstoys never had the intention nor the engineering capability to pull off these combiners. Furthermore, during transformation of all of them I have not seen any indication were there are any hidden ports where these might combine. I am sorely disappointed with fans toys and I am especially disgusted with Hasbro.
