In my mother's JW church, the very first scripture we had to memorize as little kids was 2 Timothy 3:16, "All scriptures are inspired by God" etc. Yet in their New World Translation version of the Bible there is a footnote in Daniel to explain that chapters had been removed, and even footnotes that explain that Jesus was quoting from various Apocrypha books like the Book of Enoch. So I asked, "If all scriptures are inspired by God, why does the NWT cut out the Book of Enoch? If it was good enough for Jesus, shouldn't it be good enough for us?" It was one of MANY times I was scolded not to ask questions that were "too advanced." I don't just mean a precocious 13 year old with an avid love of learning and researching. I mean even into my 20s, only then they couldn't use age as a reason for dodging hard questions.

Lots of Christians fear the hard questions because they don't know the answers. This often causes confusion in young or new Christians who are seeking answers. There are many things that we must study and seek for ourselves if we want to know. The key is to ask God to guide us in our search for understanding. We might study the interpretations and opinions of others. But keep in mind that what we're reading or listening to are still opinions and interpretations. There are some things that we simply cannot know for sure because we weren't there. Some things are beyond our ability to understand because of where we are in life, or maybe because of our individual capabilities Christianity is a religion of faith. Faith by definition is trust. But it's trust/faith in God, not man. Read for yourself. Study for yourself. And ask God for guidance.

If I remember my studies correctly, the book of Timothy is corespondents between the apostle Paul and Timothy. 1st century Christian’s were arguing and debating which scriptures were more significant. NWT “ALL scriptures are inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, reproving, and setting things straight.” I too had questions. King James Version famously excluded many books as well as the NWT. But, this corespondence of “ All scriptures” was recorded centuries before the King James “Version” as well as the NWT.

In Ethiopia, we retain the Book of Enoch because we have preserved the original Bible in its entirety, rather than removing books we found disagreeable. We recognize the Book of Enoch 1 as authentic. However, Books 2 and 3 are considered heretical, written by Gnostics and occult worshipers, and depict Enoch as a messiah and angel, which deviates from the true teachings. The Book of Enoch 1 is the genuine version of Enoch.

So no there isn’t a specific bible you need to read, it goes against the whole idea of Daniel 12:4 and revelation 7:9 God has made true knowledge abundant in the final part of the days and to people of all languages. Unlike Islam which claims the Koran can only truly by understood in its original language. What is important is taking in knowledge, studying and especially applying. This was not the Enoch from Noeh’s bloodline. There are 2 Enoch, one from Cain’s bloodline, and the other from Jared. I just started this video but what I've heard before is that early church fathers could not agree / verify the author, so they didn't include the book. But they all literally believed in this stuff and you can find them making references to giants and where some bones are still observable. Some of the Orthodox sects still include Enoch as canon

I have seen two theories presented by historians- 1. A group (referred to by some as the Deuteronamists) made extensive efforts to purge any obvious references to, or prophecy regarding Christ. 2. After Christ's death and resurrection, and the subsequent efforts to eradicate Christianity, various books of scripture were unearthed, then published and distributed among the various churches. Those which became popular in the congregations were circulated more extensively, and we're therefore included in the first compiled Bible. Some of the books at that time were deemed too sacred by some, to be included in the public "Canon" and classified as 'apocryphal'. Later protestant scholars removed them altogether (including Enoch).

The Book of Enoch was definitely the source for so many ideas in the New Testament. It seems that the New Testament was the first example of plagiarism. The church took what they wanted from the Book Of Enoch to support their growing power, and discarded the rest of his teachings and wisdom. That was only the beginning of their manipulation of the bible. The church has altered it numerous times, taking out many Books, teachings, and truths that didn't align with their currant views at that time, and their editing and interference continued for hundreds of years. This helps to explain why so many writings in the New Testament don't make a lot of sense, and don't flow seamlessly together like so many other religious books. I was curious about that when I was young, and when I asked about it, I almost never got the same answer twice, and what they did tell me didn't make a lot of sense. It's now devolved into nothing more than a means to control others, so that the power of the church remains unassailable and unquestioned. The fact that so many people people don't know or even care that it's been altered, is truly and deeply disturbing, and parallels our current political scene happening today. Blind faith is the source for so many conflicts throughout history, even today. Thanks for the video.

@44:15... I heard a sister talking explaining about "the last judgement" or chastisement. 1. In Noah's era, it was by the flood. The next worldwide chastisement will be by fires. 2. Jesus said "It will be as it was during the deluge". Some prophets said, it will be worse. Here is the question: What could it be worse? Answer #1. In Noah's time, people seeing the water rising, even they had to realize they were going to die, the water rising to their knees, shoulders, head, they had time to repent. Answer #2. The coming chastisement, by fire, it could be instantly...."no time to repent" attitude... The soul conditions wouldn't have time to make demands of forgiveness.... In that sense, we could say, during the rising water (the water that cleans souls), people had time to repent, therefore, God could forfive them, for the salvation of their souls.

Well it wasn’t removed from the Bible, it was simply never put into the Bible. I’ve always felt or assumed the books that were excluded (such as this or the book of Timothy) simply did not fit into the narrative of the people that canonized the Bible.

The challenge is, while Enoch was a prophet, and a man who walked with god, There’s no evidence the book they call the book of Enoch is as old as the story of Enoch himself, and no proof he wrote it. It actually shows signs of different writers, in the styles of its writing, Moses did tell some on his life and Jesus and I believe some of the apostles mentioned some, but never mentioned him writing or having written a book. The book of Enoch has parts that greatly resonate with Daniel’s work.

Hi, I used to watch Billy carson. Someone posted a comment saying he isn't as he appears! The comment mentioned a different name and other details which was enough info to go down the rabbit hole. Billy carson isn't his true name and I can't remember all the details. I think he was big into fraud and was found guilty. Evolution isn't really a directional thing towards someone greater, it's just about being best adapted to the current circumstances. Beliefs and costly signaling of beliefs naturally developed as a way to show that you are a trustworthy member of an "in-group" which facilitated the cohesion of larger and larger social groups. There's a whole field called the cognitive science of religion that studies why and how religious beliefs form and persist. Mind you, I'm not a fan of the god of the gaps either, I'm comfortable with just leaving things at "I don't know" when there is insufficient evidence. But studying that stuff has given me a greater appreciation for why it's really not silly.

The story about the Watchers and their alleged offspring holds some intriguing perspectives and questions. One of them being: How come these angels (spirits, I take it?!) were able to feel desire without (before they allegedly made their own earthly) bodies? Desire is an emotion that requires bodily feelings along with the thoughts. Sexual desire even requires a specific endocrine system, in order to arise: Castrates don´t have sexual desires, and women (pardon, I´m not very woke, and I don´t plan becoming so), who have undergone full hysterectomy, enter menopause immediately following the procedure, and consequently loose libido completely, unless treated with hormones. Want to point out that the complete book of Enoch was originally from Ethiopia. The Ethiopians boast the unadulterated version. All others are watered down. Please offer credit to the Ethiopian version. The Scotsman James Bruce looted 12 ass load of books from the highlands of Ethiopia. The west usually deny Ethiopia its true place in the annals of history. Some of the bad characters mentioned in Enoch are very likely operating in the west ,as it seems, given atrocities historically been perpetrated there.
