Best sniper I ever got was a random legendary drop with the "instigating" effect that does +100% on a target with full health. Made it a .50 and put a suppressor on it. With maxed rifleman, sandman, and ninja perks it would do ridiculous amounts of damage on a sneak-attack. There was almost nothing it wouldn't 1-shot.

You can also rush to join the Railroad as Tinker Tom sells a unique Sniper that is all but guaranteed to come with a Suppressor. Since actually crafting a Suppressor yourself is locked behind rank 3 Gun Nut, it will be a long while before you can make it yourself - and being able to silently kill people with a Sniper is a game-changer.

That sniper rifle is leveled to your character. If you go there at an early enough level that gun will be 308 cal. It is a good way to get a marksman stock at any point of the game though.

In the Glowing Sea, there is an old abandon shack (Not the one with the labyrinth underneath) Once you enter the sea, take a right, and keep going. Eventually you should run into it. Sorry I can't describe it better. There's really no way I can. If you reach the Sons of Atom, you've gone to far. Once in the shack, there is a skeleton with a unique sniper beside him. On the table there is a note talking about how lawless the world has become, and how nobody has any reason anymore. The unique sniper is a semi-automatic .50 Cal with the thermal sight, called "The Reason." if I remember correctly it does 83 damage, but the recoil is crazy.

There's a really unique sniper rifle in a hidden basement in the institute, it's called ''Anti-Material Sniper Rifle'' or something and deals over 300 dmg with rank 5 rifleman. You should do a video on it!

I don't know where I got it but I was around level 25 when I came across a Sniper that does 112 damage but it is LOUD.

another easy location for the fatman is in arc jet. While doing the first mission for the brotherhood of steel there's a point where you have to go up an elevator. once up the elevator walk along the cat walk until you reach a doorway but don't go in. If you look down you should see a room with a broken catwalk connected to it. jump down to that room and the fatman is on a bench in the room. Watch out for the synths.

At the start of the game you can get the Gold bars from the shelter behind the house in sanctuary, create a conveyor belt and storage box, run the glitch and make like 10 Gold bars, then go to vault 81 and buy the Overseers Guardian just make sure your charisma is high enough to talk your way into the vault without completing a mission.

I scored at level 23. Cricket was selling one outside diamond City for only 500 bottle caps. It's called the Kneecapper, does 89 damage and 20% chance to cripple the targets lag. Very useful against large animals to slow them down and takes down any human with one hit.

if you're using the rifle man perk or whatever it is and you want a better sniper rifle than this then look for vault 81 I think and a shop owner has a gun called" Over seer guardian". it shoots 2 bullets with the cost of one

As far as I know no weapon is a set weapon this one sometimes gives you a recon scope but it can also just give you a regular scope. I'm not sure if that same rule would apply to the 50.cal barrel but as far as I know if you can't purchase the weapon then the weapon doesn't have set parts.

Cait or Valentine are the best companions in my opinion, as one is master lock pick and the other is a hacker, so you learn the opposite that they have. Therefore you don't have to invest 3 perk points in lock picking or hacking. More perks for more important things. Like solar powered...... Because that's useful...

if you really want the best sniper felling. I recommend legendary violent 50 call hunting sniper rifle it has 25 damage and 25 limp damage but has more recoil.

There is a third way, but it may take some time. Barney only has one crafting bench which is behind the locked door and eventually he will open the door to do something on the crafting bench. Trust me this works

Just so everyone knows, you do not have to complete the quest to kill 3 mirelurks to get the weapons. simple jump the fence as shown in the guide, sneak up behind him and kill him. He will still have his key and sniper on him. use the key to get into the banner and open the locked door to find the other rifle. I discovered this when the third mirelurk spawned underground and was unkillable. The quest giver wouldn't shut up, "oh! gotcha didn't? takes more than a big fish to scare me!" so I killed him, annoyed I'd just walked to the other side of the map for nothing

You don't need to kill Barney or even need to do the quest to get Reba II. About a minute after he gives you the quest, he opens the back room himself and you can just take Reba II off the table and go.

I had a .308 sniper for the longest time. Then i found a .50 cal tatical hunting rifle (it was a hunting rifle with no stock, a bayonet, and a red dot) at the church that's above the underground railroad. Eventually just took the .50 mod off my tactical and slapped it on my sniper.

It's possible for Mirelurks to get past Barney's fence. I shot the Mirelurk King as it was running up the attic stairs towards me. It did seem to get hung up on them though or I would have been lunch.
