My mentor doesn't know how to backup well and tells me the wrong way and other drivers have to help me sometimes while my mentor is in the truck. I watched 3 of your videos and successfully backed up 10 times by myself I backup better than my mentor. I had to tell her to be quiet bc she began steering me wrong...and I got it. Thank You!!!!!! You break it down perfectly in all of your videos.

old video but it's been very helpful. 4 months driving and i clipped a truck a few weeks ago at a pilot and now i have zero confidence when backing to park for my break. oddly enough most of my deliveries have me backing into warehouses and apart from not being able to see at all due to the changes in light, i do those rather easily.

Nice to be able to see the painted lines... no snow :) I can understand and appreciate your years of experience. You are assessing the big picture in each situation as you pull into a terminal yard from the get go. Open minded green horn drivers love getting this kind of info, the veterans not so much (I find a lot of seasoned drivers have the attitude of.... "I've been driving X amount of years and you'll never teach me anything new"). My brother is like that.

Another great video of yours and I’m sure others will agree. I love your setup on the screen with the mirrors and how you explain in detail everything. Just like I heard you say that you pulled up two spots past since your axles on the trailer were all the way back. Also like when you said notice my trailer tires aren’t parallel to the lines and I will pull up to straighten out. Other people’s videos won’t have those crucial details. You can have two people standing next to each other that know the same exact things. The thing is one can teach and the other can’t. From all of us to you...thanks for the extra effort to explain in your videos. Most other videos just show us that they back up and say there...lol I’m like ok but how and why and you turned when because of what. lol

Could you make a video at rest area with tight space parking between 2 trucks . Sometimes i feel like not enough space to take it wide and feel like trailer might hit the truck on the right or left

How do you know when to stop when you are pulling on the left for your back??
@edgarmartinez9633 жыл бұрын
The mirrors are in wrong side on the video....si it's a lot confusion... in the conveys mirrors, t's like you are parking in the blind side.. Students comments don't know..... !!wow !! Where is the big space !!! Side of the trailer !!!!
@MyTruckingSkills3 жыл бұрын
What are talking about, I believe I have the ability to make a mistake when making these videos. But i have not this time. The mirrors are good. I have reversed them like if you're sitting in the driver's seat. The convex mirrors are good too. The main view is no reversed showing what it could be when looking out the window. I am sorry that it is confusing for you. Just read the comments and you can see that I am not confusing most.

Hello. May I ask you if your semi truck is standard or automatic?
@logalogalog4 жыл бұрын
It MUST be automatic. Watch his hands on the wheel. You never lose site of them. You would see his right hand constantly disappearing from the frame to shift if he were driving manual.
@MyTruckingSkills4 жыл бұрын
Actually, that is a manual. It's an International. But I do move into an auto automatic soon after that.
