MZTV 1547: God Assists Paul in His Uphill Battles

God saddled/blessed Paul with two uphill battles. Number one, Paul had to explain to Peter and the eleven how he could teach justification by faith apart from works of law to the nations. Number two, it fell upon Paul to explain to Israel in general that, even though Jesus Christ was out of Judah and not Levi, he could still be the Chief Priest in the Millennium.
These were both extremely hard sells.
God-and Scriptural precedent-to the rescue. To explain justification by faith among the nations to the Lord’s disciples, God inspired Paul to recall the Genesis 15 account of Abraham being reckoned righteous due simply to believing God. To explain to Israel-at-large the viability of Christ as Chief Priest, God points Paul to the Genesis 14 account of Abraham meeting with the great and mysterious Melchizedek, a king and priest of the Most High God before Israel (and thus Levi) even existed. and tithing him, that his, recognizing him as superior. Not only this, but Melchizedek blesses Abraham-nothing remarkable there except for the fact (and the Jews well knew this) that the inferior is blessed by the greater.
Oh, and Psalm 110: 4 helped a WHOLE lot.

I truly appreciate the answer to my question Martin. For your information, My father is a priest, and so was my grandmother and so was my great great grandfather. I am my father's first son and during my adolescence I used to give sermons, often leading my peers as I had a deep fascination with scripture but had no clue why it repelled people. I found your work around 2020 through a brother in the faith and since then, have made a stand to my parents given what I now believe. This came with resistance however I am now given grace to be as I am, due to your work which gave me the vocabulary to speak on why I look at Christ's accomplishment and not my flesh. This is something my parents are still grappling with but ironically my grandmother verified that Paul was indeed preaching something different. That shocked me. She still believes in the Law, but she was astute enough to pick up on the difference of gospels which normally goes over most people's head. This is why I have made my return to church after 3 years of listening to you everyday and skipping church to my enjoyment as I was in attendance since my birth. My name is Shalom and my first name is Xhosa which is a South African language. My life has only become more peaceful due to your work and I cannot thank you enough, once again Thank You MZTV

Wow, this is a beautiful post, Xhosa. And you also were given a beautiful surname: Shalom. Thanks for sharing your story here, my new friend, and I would like to share it with the body of Christ sometime this week. I have the same "morbid fascination" you mentioned with God's natural people. I want both God and Israel to finally be satisfied. And it will happen. How thrilling that your grandmother picked up the difference in Paul. That's a good start! Maybe soon she will see that the Old Covenant law is without benefit, as it causes the offenses to increase. Maybe she is meant to be of the Israelite company. I will be praying for her. Sorry to hear that your parents reject it. But I'm happy to hear that you have the strength in grace now to sustain this suffering---and you now know that your parents will eventually see the truth, which has to help. I am thankful to God that I had something to do with your spiritual growth. thanks for telling me that; it helps to keep me going. No wonder you're interested in priests, due to all the priests in your family. It's interesting that you say you had no idea why Scripture repelled people. I am guessing that it is probably due to the virus of eternal torment. That your life has become more peaceful is a testimony to the power of the evangel. Praise God. I will take some relative credit for rabidly keeping all foreign elements OUT of the evangel of the grace of God, which most appreciate, even though there are some who say, "we want you to stop criticizing people and just declare the truth," not realizing that, in accord with 2 Timothy 2:4, proper, effective evangelism is 2/3 negative, as in, "expose, rebuke, and entreat with all patience and teaching." Anyway, thanks for taking the time to write. I'm glad you've been watching since 2020 and I'm so glad you wrote.

For familial reasons, I attend church to keep the peace, but the words they say get picked apart by everything you have said and I pick up contradictions and heretic teachings at an alarming rate. This was sooo interesting!🤔I always wondered why Melkizedeck w/ no linage was chosen. But as God always establishes "like patterns" all thru scripture...as you taught, I see now that it makes perfect sense. Sooo many bones to chew on here today, sooo many questions!! Hopefully as I keep listening to y'll and learning more daily, I'll get them answered bfr the snatching away comes, so I'm not the dummy on the doorstep of the pearly gates!😅I love reading all the comments, but ooomygoodness some of these folks sound like they've been studying right along w/ you for YEARS!! I've got a looooong way to go! Thanks again dear Martin! The study of the 2gospels has really benefited me the most -so far! Much love, grace, peace and gratitude 🙏🏼💜

Great clear teaching today bro., another of your epic talks on the book of Hebrews.👍 Add this show to your awesome shows of last week, and yesterday's Grace Cafe-- WOW. Your relentless work in correctly cutting the Word of Truth is truly a bright light which dispels the huge darkness of Religion's incorrectly combining, mixing, twisting, distorting, diverting, deceiving, promoting-human-traditions, confusing, using unsound words, etc. Thanks Martin for your dedication to truth, which blesses so many. I'm loving the two gospels series. I listen to each video 3 times at least I am that excited, blessed. I sent you an email with my question I asked during your live, you didn't answer, well kind of. Liam answered. I watch3d the video you posted Grace Cafe where you had a totally different answer to my ? So I try, try again and sent an email. You always answer your "audience" but when I ask anything I am not acknowledged. I know you have many to answer. May b e my questions or comments don't measure up. I'm starting to feel that way. I watch, I am blessed, I am growing because of your evangel. I support your ministry as much as I possibly can. I still share your videos as you remain the wisest teacher out there, Scott Hicko included. Maybe I need to stop asking, commenting and accept the silence on your part. I am used to that, silence. That is why God and Jesus are closer to me than to most, because when God is all you have, He makes Himself known to you more than He does to others. You draw closer to God; He draws closer to you 🙏 it is truly beautiful to have this type of love relationship with God. So, Martin, I will keep listening because I grow so much by your evangel. But for me to expect any recognition I must just stop, as it hurts.

You said at 7.55 that Israel's role in the next eon is to "RECONCILE THE EARTH TO GOD" and the BOC's role is to reconcile the "HEAVENS" to God. This raised a question in my mind. Revelation 10:9-10 says at the end of the next eon there is a rebellion against the reign of Christ on this earth through Israel which brings about the judgment of the destruction of THIS EARTH by fire (Revelation 10:9-10). That sounds like Israel FAILS in their role even when Jesus Christ is King and High Priest during that time. Now for my question. Do you think that the BOC could also FAIL in its role of reconciling those among the heavens/celestials? The above scenario is another reason I do not buy into the teaching of two separate bodies of believers. I interpret the Scripture to teach that at the close of the next 1,000 year eon, and after the proceedings of the Great White Throne, all creation will be reconciled (humanity and messengers). They will be one joint body of Christ, redeemed by the grace and mercy of God to display the riches of His grace. That body will be a new creation in Christ, created in Christ Jesus, transformed and born of the "spirit" into the image of Christ. Then that new creation will enter and see the New Heaven (singular) and New Earth which will become the home base for the good works God has planned for us: "His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them" "in the oncoming eons". (Ephesians 2:4-10) Just my way of looking at what the Bible reveals to us - I could be wrong.
@zendermeister
@zendermeister 18 күн бұрын
Hi, Robert. You make a good point here in that I misspeak when I say that Israel will "reconcile the earth to God." It is better to say that they will "bring the earth in subjection to God," because even on the millennial earth there are those who, even though they are not purely conciliated to God (God is conciliated to them), they are yet in subjection, but via the iron-club rule. You mean to reference Revelation 20:9-10 there (not chapter 10), which describes this asinine rebellion. So when "reconcile the earth" is changed to "bring the earth in subjection" (which I will do in the future, when speaking of the Millennium), we can see that Israel does not fail. One might still say that, yes they do fail because these nations on the four corners still rebel. I would not put fault at the feet of Israel, however, but at the feet of Satan, who is loosed from his "jail." The failure only occurs when Satan is loosed. This is why we cannot fail, because Satan is banished from our kingdoms above. Once he is cast out of heaven, he never returns for the eons. I'm not sure why any of this causes you to "not buy into" the teaching of the two separate bodies of believers. Even if you see both groups failing, you still recognize both groups. How does the supposed failure of Israel AND of the body of Christ prove, to you, that there is only one body of people? You yourself admit to two in your opening passage. Apparently you see the one body only AFTER the thousand years are finished? But even on the New Earth, Israel reigns supreme. Why? Because the gates of the New Jerusalem have the names of the apostles on them. Twelve gates = ISRAEL CITY = Israel and the body are still separate. I can ONLY see a bringing together of the gospels at the Consummation. But even then, there will still be members of the body of Christ. Once a member, always a member.
@robertlakey
@robertlakey 18 күн бұрын
@@zendermeister Interesting. So, when will the vast multitude who rebel be reconciled to God? And when? Must be at the Great White Throne as I said in my original comment where I believe Satan and his group of messengers are reconciled. As for your argument of the 12 gates and 12 foundations I do not think that is proof that the BOC is not there. After all the body is said by Paul to be built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets (Ephesians 2:20) And I would note that some in the BOC at Corinth were saying they were “of Cephas” and Paul seems to say Christ is not divided into different parts. (1 Cot 1:12-13). It seems to me the GWT is where the consummation of the ages occurs - then comes the New. Sorry I keep questioning your two gospel teaching, but I just want to get this right. And I know commenting is not the best place to debate the issue. Maybe someday we can meet in person and talk about it but I am old, time is short, and I live a long way from you.😂

Was Peter calling for repentance and baptism in order to be justified or to be counted for righteousness or was Peter calling for this in order to be obtaining the gratuity of the Holy Spirit? I don't find the obtaining of righteousness anywhere in context of Acts2:38. Where is it stated that Peter required repentance and baptism in order to obtain the righteousness of God? I don't find that being taught on the day of Pentecost. Acts 2:36-39 CLV(i) 36 Let all the house of Israel know certainly, then, that God makes Him Lord as well as Christ - this Jesus Whom you crucify!" 37 Now, hearing this, their heart was pricked with compunction. Besides, they said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "What should we be doing, men, brethren? 38 Now Peter is averring to them, "Repent and be baptized each of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the pardon of your sins, and you shall be obtaining the gratuity of the holy spirit." 39 For to you is the promise and to your children, and to all those afar, whosoever the Lord our God should be calling to Him."
@ba.anderson
@ba.anderson 17 күн бұрын
I bring to mention again the sheep of another fold referred to by Christ in Jn10. When Peter said this promise of obtaining the gratuity of the Holy Spirit was made to all the house of Israel and their children he also mentions... "and to all those afar whosoever the Lord our God should be calling to Him." This sounds like a reference to the evangel of peace coming to those afar Paul refers to in Eph2:17 which God declares through Hosea. "Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall become as the sand of the sea, which is not being measured nor numbered. And it comes to be in the place in which it was being said to them, Not My people are you, there shall it be said to them, sons of the living El." - Hos1:10 These sheep are those of another fold Jesus said he must also be leading who shall be hearing his voice. (Jn10:16) How else might these sheep be following the Shepherd Ideal if not by the same Holy Spirit spoken of by Peter at Pentecost? Surely Cornelius and his household are examples of those afar brought near by the blood of the Lambkin!
