Eric Covington's lawn has been through the ringer to say the least! His lawn has been through two hurricanes, fungus and insect damage. He was almost to the point of giving up and throwing in the towel. That was before he got a hold of the N-Ext Bio-Stimulant package! Now, he not only has the bio-stim pack but snagged 18-0-1 GreenePunch and 7-0-0 GreeNe EfFect to help bring his yard back to life. He called me up to help him put a plan together using what his got, and that's exactly what I did for this video.
Make sure to subscribe to Erik's channel to follow watch the progression of his yard...
/ @rvalawnlove
Here is Erik's 2019 N-Ext DIY Lawn Plan for his Kentucky Bluegrass/Turf Type Tall Fescue Blend
For the Bio-Stimulant Products:
N-Ext RGS Soil and Plant Stimulant - 3 oz./1k sq. ft. once a month
N-Ext Air8 Liquid Aeration - 3 oz./1k sq. ft. once a month
N-Ext Humic12 Liquid Humic Acid - 3 oz./1k sq. ft. once a month
0-0-2 MicroGreene Fertilizer - 3 oz./1k sq. ft. once a month
For the Fertilizers:
18-0-1 GreenePunch Fertilizer - First App. 18 oz./1k sq. ft.
18-0-1 GreenePunch Fertilizer - April to May 12 oz./1k sq. ft.
18-0-1 GreenePunch Fertilizer - July to August 6 oz./1k sq. ft.
7-0-0 GreeNe EfFect Fertilizer - July to August 9 oz./1k sq. ft.
For the bare spots in his yard, I told him to "Paint them Black" with Humic12.
We also talked about how to use 4-0-2 FloraGreene Erik's Magnolia Tree...
For healthy trees, apply Apply at a rate of 1/2 oz. per caliper inch of the diameter at shoulder height. Dilute with water at a rate of 6oz. per gal. Spray the trunk of the tree up to height of 6ft. or to the first fork.
Apply two times per year in the spring and fall.

Hi Paul!! Love the channel. Just started using the N-EXT products. Last week I put down RGS, AIR8, Detach, and green affect all at once. It seemed to look like coffee grounds but mostly all came out. Please tell me I didn’t ruin anything. Should I reapply Green Affect on its own!? What can’t I mix this as a cocktail. Thanks again!

question just watch and printed like you said in the video you say we can mix humic12 and micro green 0-0-2 but on the pdf says *0-0-2 Microgrene should NOT be combined with any other products from the biostimulant pack so wich is it ???? yes to combined with humic or by it self ? thanks awesome video

Great question and I am glad you asked. It says on the PDF *0-0-2 MicroGreene™ should NOT be combined with any other products from the BioStimulant pack in a hose-end sprayer! Backpack or any other bigger sprayer that is going to have water in it first, you can mix Humic12 with 0-0-2 MicroGreene SO LONG AS YOU HAVE WATER FIRST. I would mix in this order, water, Humic12, 0-0-2 MicroGreene, top it off with more water. Hope that helps. - Castleberry

Boy, that sounds exactly like my renovation that I did in August of 2017, Michael took it out, and I was loaded with Poa Annua last Winter/Spring. I had army worms late last Summer, and Irma did a number as well. I treated with Specticle Flo last winter, and I am looking at a weed-free lawn right now. Any renovation is going to take at least 2-3 years to get to where it looks really good. I scalped it down to the ground last Saturday, and I'm looking forward to my first good sanding and mow.

I do apologize for the confusion but Humic12 and 002 should not be mixed together in concentrate inside of the hose end sprayer cup. They are ok to go together inside of a backpack sprayer, so long as water is put in first, then Humic12 and then 002 MicroGreene. - Castleberry

I am in the RVA area as well and am ditto on the issues with my TTTF. Up until yesterday this heat has been a killer. I have irrigation and have been using it and your products. I have some questions. My TTTF was starting to layover at 4.25”. Two nights ago I went in with a high lift blade and cut back to 3.75” and seemed to have moderate success. Yesterday I went almost the full route...kill or cure method. I ran 3 oz of RGS, 9 oz of Humic 12, 9 oz Air-8, 16 oz, MicroGreen, and 9 oz of D-Thatch. I ran sprinklers 6 minutes and we got 1/3” of rain last night. No matter what rate and what I do, I just can’t seem to get my lawn dark green. My last N-P-K app was a month ago and it didn’t even do much. Suggestions? Can I run 18-0-1 at a low rate or 7-0-0 during the summer without pushing growth too much? The grass under my bird feeder is the color I want so I know something is amiss.
@SUBDIVIDED
@SUBDIVIDED 5 жыл бұрын
What results did you get after the application of multiple Next products? Have you considered using a liquid iron to deepen the green? Asking because I have had a similar situation here in Northern KY with a KBG/TTTF mix that just didn't come to life as usual after a good dose of liquid N-P-K and consistent irrigation. Heat stress is definitely a factor- went 3 1/2 weeks with no rain and blazing sun for 15 hours a day.
@Donaclin
@Donaclin 5 жыл бұрын
@@SUBDIVIDED I think the products may have a long term effect by helping to fix some stress areas. I did not get the affect I expected. The double green effect that is talked about just doesn’t happen. I got great results the first app of HyRBrix Lawn fertilizer but that has been it. I am wondering if it may be my varieties. I am working on my daughter’s fescue lawn and am seeing much better color results. I will be starting to overseed the next few years with hopefully better varieties.

Good video, Paul. One suggestion - For those that want to mix two or more chemicals together into a sprayer it's always a good idea to do a jar test BEFORE putting those chemicals in your sprayer. If you do not do a jar test, then you could be spending quite some time cleaning out every little crevice of your sprayer or worse, you could possibly ruin your sprayer which is not cheap. Better to be safe than sorry. We are all waiting for spring and getting our equipment and supplies ready to go. It'll get here and then we will be killing ourselves trying to dominate our neighbors. :-)

N-Ext DIY Lawn Since no re-sellers in US wanted to send international, I had to send it to a friend in FL, that shipped it to me. The total price ended up x 3!

Is it better to use a hose end sprayer or backpack sprayer to apply next products

More water is better. Hose end works the best but you can use a back pack sprayer as well. Just have to make sure you have the right water to product ratio. Make sure to check the labels and follow the guidance on there. - Castleberry

The thing with the hose end, we don't recommend mixing fert concentrates with the specialty products like RGS, Air8, Humic12 and D-Thatch. Those need to be tank mixed in a sprayer of some sort.

Not the most relatable video for sure. Was hoping for a little more 'normal' scenario. I haven't been hit by 2 hurricanes. Odd......
