Fert Dance Friday with 7-0-0-6 Greeneffect. I am also going to show what I’ve used for repellents this ear. Nothing worked as advertised, done to the label rates and in some cases, extra was applied. Repels-All, Tomcat Animal Repellent, Uncle Ian’s Blood Meal…. No luck. Smoke the monsters out they say. That worked pretty dang well. I levelled out the damaged areas and the grass is responding really well. See if you can tell a difference in the two hours from application, I can’t… it was so dark already, maybe you can see something I don’t.

Great video! Get yourself some gopher traps that you stake to the ground. Thanks for your comments and thoughts on the low Nitrogen. It is hard or me to get that through my mind. I am using lower amounts this year for sure, but not as low as you are going. I am about to hit my lawn with microgreene for the first time. Can't wait to see impact it has to my lawn. Keep up the great work Jon, and stay well!

LOL on the 9 hr watering. I’ll had a small, slightly elevated garden once, before heading for a week long vacation, I turned the hose on to “wet it down”. About 3 days later, sitting around the campfire telling stories, I remembered it was running. I called my neighbor and slopped his way into my yard and shut it off for me. No idea how much water I waisted.

interesting stuff about the low N concept ....but I wonder if another difference for the max N guys is that they push so much growth that they almost have to bag all their grass clippings and toss them, thus removing so much from the soil at the same time that they are chemically having to add it back? where personally I mulch everything back into my soil to 'recycle' and might not need to add a tremendous amount from outside that loop if I'm not removing it? ... its funny because I don't see any build up of thatch and dead clippings at all in my yard, and I even have too many large trees that drop leaves; which in the late fall I just keep up my weekly or more schedule of mowing(to never let the leaves build up thick on the yard at all), to always keep chopping tons of those leaves in vs raking, so in the early spring is the only time I'll still see any small bits of chopped leaves(which soon just vanish); otherwise my yard seems to 'eat' any and all of the organic matter back into the soil, guessing makes humus(tho really don't see a 'layer' of even that) and thus its own fulvic/humic acids naturally produced and remain high? so I never have to remove any dead organic material and maybe am able to buy and add less yard additives - I'll have to see what the effect is of mowing taller(higher than I've done in any past years) this summer has on my yard regarding my 'no bag' and mulch in system, I'm wondering if it will create more thatch and clippings buildup when I start to work the height back down in late summer and fall, or if I'll have a thicker or thinner yard

+Michelle Beard it should be run starting in May typically and can be put down all summer. It will provide a little green up and as material breaks down, you are basically giving your lawn nutrients that were tied into tissue, it’s basically “green composting” with clippings and surface material

Thank you John for the great explanation and video of this process. I'm definitely going to change my thought process on lawn care now. I have a 1K test area that I'm going to base this idea on. Seems my grass stands taller and stronger at short heights! Definitely no nitrogen in summer. Maybe more potassium, sulfer and potash to help reduce the stress on the grass. Plus some other ideas? I'm already a customer and have products on hand. I'm on Instagram and will post my results as I go along. Hopefully will be adding a KZbin Channel by the end of the month. Your thoughts? John do you have a reference or citation for the studies and research as well as publications you guys did comparing your NEXT products, to another companies product with similar ingredients but possibly prepared in a different manner as well as comparison of results from a control where no supplements were added. So the typical 3 way comparison that is generally seen. In many instances when a product is brought to market, in order to show and document the claims of its efficacy and it's effect on a particular substrate such as turf that the manufacturer does a comparison study of that type to be able to justify the products claim of performance. Generally manufacturers want to show scientifically that their products do what they say and they do it better than simply exposing the substrate to the same ingredients in a different form or concentration or different preparation. A control group is also included. I have searched Med Line as well as Google Scholar and have been unable to locate your research. I did see several papers by Anderson's regarding the patent on their dispersing granule or prill technology so I think I'm looking in the correct area of the literature. Thought you could point me to it as I would like to see the data. Thanks.
