Hi Sam, UK viewer and Muslim here. Just to clarify for you due to the language barrier, The white cloth that you saw the men wearing is called the "Ihraam", for men, its a 2 piece white cotton thick cloth that they must wrap around their body and waist, for women, they must cover their entire body. The Ihraam represents purity and cleanliness in Islam, and that we are all equal, regardless of how much wealth/status you have, we are all equal in God's eyes. It also represents what a person will be wrapped in when they die, 2 pieces of cloth. Then in terms if what is the "Miqaat", this is the checkpoint where all men and women must be in the "state of Ihraam", as they have now reached the checkpoint for Umrah/Hajj, now they cannot take off their Ihram until they have completed their Umrah. The Miqaat is different for everyone, as it depends on which direction/country you come from towards Jeddah airport for Umrah/Hajj. In case u were wondering what's Umrah & Hajj and the difference - Umrah is the small pilgrimage that can be done any time of the year, but Hajj is the main pilgrimage, and only takes place on the 12th Islamic month (Dhul Hijjah), hence its great significance to us. Hope this helps, and great video.

@@Locutus Allah Cursed the Disbelievers Among the Children of Israel Allah says; لُعِنَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى لِسَانِ دَاوُودَ وَعِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ ذَلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوا وَّكَانُواْ يَعْتَدُونَ ﴿٧٨﴾ Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawud and `Isa, son of Maryam. That was because they disobeyed (Allah and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing (beyond the bounds). Allah states that He has cursed the disbelievers among the Children of Israel long ago, and revealed this fact to His Prophets Dawud and `Isa, son of Maryam. He cursed them because they disobeyed Allah and transgressed against His creatures. Al-Awfi reported that Ibn Abbas said, "They were cursed in the Tawrah, the Injil, the Zabur (Psalms) and the Furqan (Qur'an).'' Allah then states that during their time, their habit was that,

The Last Sermon Of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h.) This sermon was delivered on the Ninth day of Dhul-Hijjah, 10 A.H. ( 623AD) in the Uranah valley of Mount Arafat in Mecca. It was the occasion of annual rites of Haj. It is also known as the Farewell Pilgrimage. After praising and thanking Allah the Prophet (p.b.u.h.) began with the words: "O People! Lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore, listen carefully to what I am saying and take these words to those who could not be present here today." "O People! just as you regard this month, this day ,this city as sacred ,so regard the life and property of every Muslim a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that he will indeed reckon your deeds." "Allah has forbidden you to take usury, therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital is yours to keep .You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequality. Allah has judged that there shall be no interest and that all interest due to Abbas Ibn 'Aal-Muttalib be waived." "Every right arising out of homicide in pre-Islamic days is henceforth waived and the first such right that I waive is that arising from the murder of Rabiah ibni al-Harithiah." "O men! the unbelievers indulge in tampering with the calendar in order to make permissible that which Allah forbade, and to prohibit what Allah has made permissible. With Allah the months are twelve in number. Four of them are holy, there are sucessive and one occurs singly between the months of Jumada and Shaban." "Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will be able to lead you astray in big things so beware of following him in small things." "O People it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under Allah's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well never to be unchaste." "O People! listen to me in earnest, worship Allah, say your five daily prayers, fast during month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat .Perform Haj if you can afford it." "All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a White has no superiority over a Black nor a Black has any superiority over a White except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly." "Do not therefore do injustice to yourselves. Remember one day you will meet Allah and answer your deeds. So beware, do not astray from the path of righteousness after I am gone." "O People! No Prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore O People! and understand words that I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray." "All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly." "O Allah, be my witness, that I have conveyed your message to Your people." As part of this sermon, the prophet recited to them a revelation from Allah, which he had just received, and which completed the Quran, for it was the last passage to be revealed: This day the disbeliever's despair of prevailing against your religion, so fear them not, but fear Me (Allah)! This day have I perfected for you, your religion and fulfilled My favor unto you, and it hath been My good pleasure to choose Islam for you as your religion. (Surah 5, Ayah 3) The sermon was repeated sentence by sentence by Safwan's brother Rabiah (RA), who had powerful voice, at the request of the Prophet and he faithfully, proclaimed to over ten thousand gathered on the occasion. Towards the end of his sermon, the Prophet asked "O people, have I faithfully delivered unto you my message?" A powerful murmur of assents "O Allah! yes!"arose from thousands of pilgrims and the vibrant words "Allahumma Na'm," rolled like thunder throughout the valley. The Prophet raised his forefinger and said: "O Allah bear witness that I have conveyed your message to your people."

As a Muslim, I am grateful that you have observed with admiration the deep faith and generosity that Muslims possess. Wow! I am non-Muslim European, and I do not really consider myself to be very religious, but in the last 23 minutes, I have witnessed something incredible! I have always thought that these Hajj flights are special, seeing all the different ACMIs helping in during these periods of the year, but have mostly only looked at it from a logistical point of view... Well that view has definitely changed after watching this video! The logistics are indeed unbelievable, but so are the people behind the operation, and also the pilgrims. As someone who has flown multiple times already, yet only being in my 20s, I cannot imagine the excitement of the pilgrims who have been waiting for this moment all their life, and not only that, but it is usually also their first flight in most cases... What an incredible journey this has to be!! Thank you very much Sam, for capturing these moments, and sharing them with us!! I hope you will be able to also document the return journey, because I am really looking forward to it!!

I'm Indonesian and Muslim, and watching this brings tears to my eyes because it's something very close to my heart. Fifteen years ago, I lost my grandfather during his Hajj pilgrimage. He passed away while fulfilling this sacred journey, not due to any incidents, but simply because it was his time to return to the mighty Creator. According to Saudi law, deceased pilgrims cannot be sent back to their home country, so my grandfather was buried in Saudi Arabia. We were heartbroken when we received the news, but we also found solace knowing that he passed away while undertaking such a noble and revered journey. We believe he now holds a special place by God's side. May he rest in peace. Thank you very much for covering this flight. I've been an avid fan of yours for a long time, and I must say, this is my favorite video of yours. I also felt deeply for you regarding the food poisoning incident, but I'm relieved it turned out well in the end and that you still managed to gracefully proceed with the video. When people go for hajj they have to be prepare everything, they must be sincere, strong, and surrender to God on this journey.

The elderly man who was transported in a chair up to the cabin (in the beginning scene) may not return home, and be buried in Mecca. He likely had bid his family goodbye before embarking on his Hajj pilgrimage. All hajj pilgrims understand the consequences, they and their families had prepared for the worst mentally and financially. Hajj pilgrimage is a one-time obligation only for those who are capable/prepared. That explains how the significance of hajj pilgrimage for Muslims is.

Salam to the Indonesian Arafati bretheren from a Bangladeshi Hajji. I had the good fortune and blessing of Allah to perform Hajj in 2024. In Jeddah Airport as well as in the holy cities of Makkah and Madine, I observed that the Indonesian Hajj groups, though large in numbers, were one the most organized, disciplined and devoted. They would all dress similarly, move gently in groups, chorus the prayer chants and follow the guides/ leaders, while performing a requirement of the Hajj or just moving from one place to another. Rest of the Ummah has many things to learn from the Indonesian Hajjis, the Hajj related service providers and Indonesian Govt.

Sometimes a simple vlog with basic camerawork can be as impressive and impactful as any scripted documentary made by a big team, or even a full feature movie. These 23 minutes were so satisfactory. And I have the same feeling, full heart and mind spinning, as I sometimes have when leaving a movie theater. Thank you, dear friend, for taking us on this very special journey. And thank you for the story telling, showing all aspects of the flight, despite the fact that you were not well. And it was so sweet, all the people happy to share this with us, happily waiving...

@f1joeh
@f1joeh 6 ай бұрын
@@JobanBogdanoic Islam is not generally considered a cult by religious scholars. Here's why: Established religion: Islam has a long history dating back centuries, with a large and diverse following. Cults are typically smaller groups with more recent origins. Sacred text: Islam has a foundational text, the Quran, believed by Muslims to be the literal word of God. Cults may lack a central text or have one viewed more metaphorically. Organizational structure: Islam has a complex structure with established religious leaders and institutions. Cults are often more centralized around a single charismatic leader. There are extremist groups that have broken off from Islam, and these may exhibit some cult-like characteristics. However, Islam itself is a major world religion with a rich tradition. 😊

It is so touching to see how well the cabin crew treat all the passengers, especially those who are flying for the first time, and also, the elder ones. Equally beautiful to see how they are honored to serve such special passengers on this Hajj flight. And the passengers are so well behaved and they are really very very happy to be part in this journey that is so meaningful for the two billion Muslims worldwide. Thank you for this video, Sam! And I would like to wish a safe, pleasant and blessed journey to all the Muslims who are heading to Mecca for this Hajj. Greetings and peace from Brazil!

I am an Indonesian flying for a middle east well known airline. Earlier this June I flew 8 hours leg to Jakarta and had the honour to meet one of this pilgrimage flight somewhere in Colombo airspace frequency. I'm really touched and humbled thinking about the effort and resources those pilgrims spent to reach this point. At another occasion in March which coincide Ramadhan, I personally greeted my fellow countrymen (and women) when they disembark at Jeddah for Umrah (another lite version of pilgrimage - to simplify it). It made my heart warm to provide them a safe flight and seeing their smile when I bid them farewell at L2 door. I wish them and all pilgrims safe journey and mabrur hajj. Thank you Sam for your unending passion of aviation, you bring us such beautiful coverage of this special flight

Sam, it is so kind and generous of you to present this, one of the pillars of the faith of Islam, especially by a non muslim in a positive light. It reminded me of my Hajj journey that I made way back in 2006-2007 season from the USA. As an aviation enthusiast, I especially love to watch videos related to it and many by you. This one is special as it add the Hajj as part of that.
