I have waited for so long that Sam can review Hainan's intercontinental flight and speak Chinese in his video. This video just showed all I wanted to see. Hainan is truly great. I was expecting Sam to speak Mandarin with northern accent. However, I am so amazed to find out that Sam spoke Mandarin with Hong Kong accent. Thank you Sam, great job! Hope you will fly HU more often.

I love their uniform, probably my favorite. Traditional but modern and contemporary. I can see why they are a 5 star airline - pajamas, Bvlgari and the food looked absolutely delicious

Thank you sam. Hainan Airlines is actually one of my most favorite carriers. I took the flight from PVG to BRU and to BOS. Wonderful services. I enjoyed also the chauffeur services in Shanghai, Boston and even from BRU to Germany. PRIMA.

People are skeptics and critics, but that's expected. People had strong opinions about KIA and Hyundai but they've really elevated in perception these past few years. Takes time.

Thanks Sam for this nice review. I flew Hainan airlines 2 weeks ago, BRU-PEK-BRU in economy class. Honestly I have mixed feelings. The flight was smooth but I think there is something about their spirits policy. I asked for a gin tonic on the route BRU-PEK. They told me they didn't have it, although the spirits were clearly mentioned on the menu. The FA got me one from business class. She told me that not many people ask for spirits, and that was according to her the reason they didn't had it on their trolley. Now when flying back to BRU, I asked the FA again for a gin tonic. She told me that they didn't have it that day. She didn't know why… I asked another FA and suddenly they were able to get one , again from business clas, although mentioned on the economy class menu. That FA told me that the spirits would dissapear from the menu but that the menu was not modified yet. Conclusion: 3 different answers for the same question.... and I still don't know the answer why no spirits were available in economy...

As a fan and gold card member of Hainan Airlines, I have got used to take the flight exactly HU447/8 travel betwen Australia and China, transiting in Haikou to other cities in China, although I'm currently living in Perth and have to cross the continent to Sydney by Virgin Australia to catch Hainan Airlines (Not Qantas haha just because flying VA can earn points in HU membership). It's not strange that Hainan Airlines can be rewarded SKYTRAX 5-star year by year as the rating is mostly based on customer experience. You may have experienced that cabin crews are all friendly and willing to chat with you, especially after serving dinner only half of crews are on duty at night. Every time taking HU flight it's a great chance for me to chat with them and study a lot.

I flew one of Hainan Airlines first flights from Chicago to China flights many years ago, they served food right after we boarded and right before we landed so there was a long 8 hour period with nothing to eat in the middle. The flight attendant asked me about my flight and I complained about the long period with no food service. When I flew back home after a month in China. Hainan had snacks in the back of the plane available the entire flight! An airline that actually listens! what a novel thing!
