This video was filmed in early March from Abu Dhabi to Los Angeles. This is the longest flight in Etihad Airways network, with a flight time over 16 hours, flying as far North as 85 degrees, known as polar flight routing. Captain Bilal explained the Polar Flight operation and the critical timing of this ultra-long haul flight.
Besides the usual Etihad First Class Suite product and amenities, the chef also showed me how to cook a steak to perfection using the onboard oven. I enjoyed great dining and superb privacy in my First Class Suite.
After waking up from a nap, I saw the most incredible sights in the sky; our Etihad B777 was just 1,000 feet below an Emirates A380, also heading to LAX. We eventually flew past the Emirates A380, accompanied with some of the most spectacular air2air footage I have ever seen.

Cpt. Bilal is a great airman. His words define his passion of flying, never hesitated to praise the beautiful air traffic in front of him. The chef did a wonder in sky searing a juicy steak 11km above the ground in a compact kitchen deserve 7 stars. I want Michelin to start sky stars rating for the chefs in sky. I’ve also seen an Emirates A380 on the left of the plane I was flying with. The difference is, I flew to Belgrade using Etihad A320 from Abu Dhabi while the A380 is maybe twice as far as the one in video.

Sam, I had the same experience about the A380. But we were in the A380 not on the 777-300ER. It was just a couple of minutes after takeoff and we saw a 777 beneath us. That was beautiful.
