I reached out to Emirates for permission to film onboard so I can interact with the crew and film something different. The motivation for my vlog is to show you my experience and enjoy the trip together. It is not intended as a review because it is based on one single flight. In Q3, I will launch a flight rating platform where everyone can rate their flight. This way, we will have a more consistent number of responses that can represent it fairly.

The only problem is that if the food has been on a passengers tray that it is not hygienic to hand it to another person, they could have touched it or dropped in the floor. What they could do is when the food trays are handed out the crew could offer a pastry from a basket. If there is any left after the food service it could then be distributed to economy passengers. Good idea though, shame to see food being thrown away.

I too think it's a great idea. But I don't think it should be restricted to just economy as you don't want those passengers to think it's a charity and could affect their self esteem. If the food is distributed it should be placed in a common counter where all classes can access them equally. Sort of like a take away counter. And the crew can also serve them to those who are hungry.

Or, getting a bag of something too good to go to bring with you after landing. Perfect for longer layovers or breakfast on the way home/to the office from the airport.

It seems the Premium Economy product offers a fantastic value to people who want to try, but perhaps can't afford the amazing first and business class experiences that Emirates is so famous for. This still looks really comfortable, and for the first time, the airline food actually looks like something I would really enjoy! Yay for Tillamook! Praying for your mother. I flew Premium Economy (bulkhead seats no less!) on the Lufthansa A-380 from Miami to Frankfurt round-trip in 2016. It was the best flight and best aircraft I have ever flown. Excellent service, food and wine, ambiance, and room for Yoga exercise by the galley. Loved the tail camera view on take-off and landing :)

ANA actually does that. On my recent flight with ANA from Chicago to Tokyo and Tokyo to Singapore, they handed out the business class drinks menu after the meal service to Premium Economy guests and asked to choose the wine of their choice including champagne. Thats a great way to reduce the wastage of wines opened for welcome drinks and for meal service.

wines have no best before dates, but food have. Just close the bottle and serve it on the next flight. So there's no reason to offer them to Premium Economy.

@@willius374 Whether open bottles will be used on the next segment will mainly depend on the turnaround time to avoid serving stale drinks and logistics - in particular whether there are any custom concerns and whether or not sorting bottles is worth the time and effort. When the caterer simply resupplies filled carts in exchange for the used ones, that may not be worth the time sorting the stuff on board and if the caterer sorts them on the ground later, they have been open for quite a while, so one would not put them back on a flight.

I always love when you fly Emirates they do customer service the right way and always seem to go above and beyond daily! Wow so happy for the employees getting a 24 week bonus, wow I would have fainted right there on the spot. Sam your mom does come first and don't worry about the need to produce flight videos there will always be time for them. I hope your heading back to LA soon to be with her. I lost both my parents 6 years ago 5 weeks apart it was so hard and since I am a only child I felt utterly devastated. So go be with your mom cherish this time with her, I know she must be so so very proud of the man you have become. Will keep your mom and you in my prayers

Sam, when I immigrated to Los Angeles,my mother was with me through thick and thin. I had the privilege of my mother living with me for 30 years until she pass away at age 96. I cared for her along with 2 hired caregivers who lived with us. I Absolutely miss my mom.

I must say that whether you are a famous or regular ones, the treatment of the cabin crews at Emirates are superb. I flew with my baby and they were so accommodating. I like everything from the food esp the baby/kiddie meals to extra services and freebies. What you paid for is totally worth it😍😘

I’m ground staff for Qantas. We were close to canceling a flight so we moved passengers to other flights as much as we could. In the end it was only a delay and we ended up boarding only 64 people on a A380. Everyone in economy got business and premium economy meals lol

He was an immigrant to Canada and came here in 1970 to give us good life . Not a day has gone by since I lost him that I don’t think of him. . I have cried an ocean of tears . Cherish your mother. In the end we will leave all of our money, assets on this earth . But our memories will stay with us forever . 🙏
