Nice video! I've been shooting the unique doors of the 2200 Series cars as well. There's not too many of them left any more. I was lucky enough to ride one this morning to work. I see them all parked at the Rosemont Yard.

The CTA is having it's farewell ceremony to these cars on Aug. 8th. An era has ended :-(

Why does the blue line make a short run to UIC-Halsted?

I think it's been like that since Pink Line came exist in 2006 replace the Douglas Blue Line Service. Plus because Congress Line doesn't be to heavy with riders like Milwaukee Branch service to O'hare.

Yes it is retired because of 5000 Series replaced all 2200 Series Cars
