Depends on the band. Bands like Korn, Coal Chamber, and Mudvayne are definitely bass heavy while other bands like SOAD and Slipknot are more drum heavy

There it is,this is the exact riff that made my buy my first bass, that open E thump ringing out till Dez gives the cue then it's all out crunchy bass mayhem driving the song to oblivian,,it is a perfect example of bass line not needing to be complicated to be good

Precisely and exactly - I have played bass guitar and drums shitloads of years and know when bass line is good, this intro thumping simply delivers be it primitive or simple as possible.

I met her at a concert not too long after Rayna left Coal Chamber. I was walking on the sidewalk to get in line at their concert in California and she and a few of her entourage were walking the other direction. I recognized her right away. I told my friend I was with, "there's their new bass player!" My friend didn't believe me so I yelled out, "Nadja!" She turned around and said hi. I was kinda starstruck and didn't know what else to say so I think I just said, "you're awesome" or something retarded like that lol.
