What makes a high valued woman such versus a low valued woman? Whats the missing link in the thought process? The thongs ive done in your list shows that im low valued easily pressured and im not sure why i allowed certain behaviors against me, like pressure to have intimacy without marriage. Women are hypermasculininsed in society today and that is why men have become too lax in their roles of protecting and providing; womena are too impatient to wait for the compatible fit where their rights are respected and granted as per Islam. Single muslim women who want to enjoy their rights and grant future spouses the same are shamed for being single just cz they're trying to obey what Allah asks. Many Muslim women are even marrying christian men just to show they got a man and a ring. And those who are single and waiting to make it halal via nikkah are ostracized and shamed with ageism. It's like society would rather see you as a single unmarried muslim woman than have you sabr for Allah's sake.

Men can't be just and equal between women. Every single polygynous marriage I know here in the West, results in either the first wife's rights being taken away, or the second wife being forced to go to work to support her second marriage lifestyle. My own father had a second wife and literally spend his days at work in his factory, then he would ho sleep at the second wife's house and come see us for a bit in the morning. This is how men are like... most only care about their own desires.

No her permission is not needed although some Muslim countries put this in place as law to prevent certain bad outcomes. It is however best practice to do so and if he can not then at least she should know of the marriage.
