The way some of these men use religion to manipulate and control women 😠 it makes my blood boil!! There's a very fine line between being submissive and bring controlled. I'll happily submit to my husband (if I get married insha Allah) but the moment I feel suffocated, the moment I feel like he's controlling me, I'm out! We can't let our emotions get the better of us ladies! If you stay in these sorts of relationships, the pain will last as long as your marriage does (unless he's self aware and changes). The moment you leave, yes the pain is unbearable but you will absolutely get through it! THAT pain is temporary until you heal. My recent experience has taught me A LOT, it was less than a month thankfully but it was still hard. I surprised myself when I walked away as I didn't expect myself, literally on the spot decision after repeatedly being disrespected.

I'm glad you made this video, I read lots about psychology, personality disorders, Machiavellianism and the dark triad of psychology in general. I'm able to spot a manipulative phony from a mile away. I rely so much on my intuition and mind instead of my emotions alhamdullilla. Your videos cover all the necessary info for any woman to have not just Muslims. I thank you and appreciate your efforts deeply

start off by reading more interesting dark triad books before you dig deeper into psychology (if you want) . I can recommend the art of seduction and 48 laws of power by Robert Greene, Beyond persuasion by Rebecca dolton, the killer across the table by John Douglas and mark olshaker. Psychopathic disorders by micheal craft. And for KZbin channels watch HG Tudor about narcissism or Sam vaknin or dr Romany. I hope this could help I read all of the books I mentioned before I started psychology 101

This sums up my marriage.. my ex husband was extremely toxic and only really every straightened up and listened when the male figures in my family addressed him. That look you gave and said Allahu Akbar 16:16 like you Dont even know what they are thinking, was the extract feeling I had towards the end of my marriage. I had to tell him the night he had to leave that I might want you but I don’t need you .. and I meant that with my whole heart and getting to that point of actually letting go of the marriage I held soooooo deep in my heart really really hurt. Till today it’s been 8-9 months since the marriage ended I still miss our life together but I don’t miss the chaos and the toxicity. Just sad that this was the only solution because toxic men don’t think they need to change their behaviour, they’d rather throw it all away than be held accountable.. Thank you sister for this video I will be watching it on repeat ❤

Story time! Unfortunately, I had a very difficult relationship with men in my life (grandfather, father) so I became vulnerable and then toxic men entered my life that really emotionally violated me. I don't really blame anyone. I just had weak boundaries because I feel I never really felt safe and I was always looking for that. I really felt that I had no where to go. Long story short, this has been my test and through these experiences I found Allah. I still have things that I need to work on. I could really relate to this video having a bucket load of life experience with toxic people (not just men but also women). Also, absolutely loving this channel. I want to ask if you can make some videos of building self-esteem, like how do we recognize if we have low self-esteem, how to build a higher self-esteem, connecting with Allah, etc.

I’m sorry to hear this, sister. I had to teach myself about dark psychology to make sense of the insanity that I was facing. Unfortunately, I was becoming very bitter from learning about all this, and realizing how so many people do the things they do intentionally. Anyway, long story short, it took really, really strengthening my Iman to get my heart back into order. Therefore, my suggestion will be to learn about healthy relationships, healthy boundaries, toxic relationships patterns, etc. etc. BUT, please, please, increase your ibadah, adhkar, charity, zikr because I found that without the noor of Allah I was getting too personally affected by all this new knowledge. This is a new chapter of your life, learning all this. Stick to it and you’ll be okay insha’Allah!

I was in a marriage with a narcissist for nearly 5 years, at the beginning it was like a fairytale, but very quickly he revealed his true self. I was the opposite to everything you described, and my ex was the epitome of a toxic man, doing the actions every textbook narcissist does. Alhamdulillah Allah freed me from that marriage, and with His guidance and therapy I genuinely believe that I now have the traits you described. Quick advice to all my sisters, stand firm and reconnect with yourself. Your body will literally give you signs when something is not right so do NOT ignore it. Make sure you have a good support system, and make dua that Allah guides you away from such toxic people.

Dear Nafeesa. Your video has related to my life .i had an arranged marriage at the age of 19 . I felt after a few days that something is not normal in my life but was too naive . I had four kids .wanted to leave many times but didn't .now I realised that it was due to my weak boundaries . When I learned my boundaries ,then he started disliking me .after watching your video,I know that I have all the things ,a toxic man dislikes. . Now at the age of 75 ,living with a toxic man is unbearable . I have asked him for a divorce but he doesn't want to leave . My children Will support me if I leave him as they know the situation .

I had an arrange marriage last year. We live different countries and when I met him during the summer holiday, he was nothing I imaged. My dream came true turned into my worst nightmare. He was always busy with friends etc and had other priorities but from my understanding of his behaviour, he didn't want to be in the marriage. Then I was naive girl who believed in find a supportive partner. I let him walk over me, I never cried so much in my life compared to that summer. When I came back from the holiday, I was the only one call him, talked to his mum to ask him what he really want but each time he apologised and would say he will try. He would try for a couple of days then it would be same again. Then I was scared of divorce. Recently, he thought I told my cousins about our marrital problems that he said he would divorce me. I have been getting myself ready for divorce because I don't see my marriage going anywhere. But when I told his dad and my parents he said he said it because he was angry. He broke my trust around 3 to 4 times. Now I have changed. I'm no longer the naive 20 years old girl, I no longer try to please him just to like me etc. Now I'm trying to stand for myself which he believes is being disrespectful. Actually I'm still with him because of my faith in Allaah, but not in him. But I think my distrust in him is causing even more troubles. I'm always asking myself is he being honest? Am I overthinking stuff? Am I being fair? I hate it that I don't know the answers. Because regardless of what happened, I don't wanna be unfair.

Thank you very much! This video is such a great reminder and even eye opener. Recently I had to make a decision. I should choose either my potential spouse or my family. It really hurt because I already imagined a future together with him. I chose my family. And alhamdulillah it was the right decision. No man in the world is worth turning against his own family, because ultimately, they are the ones who can always be counted on. Family is incredibly valuable and nothing in the world can replace it. Men come and go, but mother, father, brothers and sisters remain.

The huge part is being married to narcissistic men, and questioning your own sanity or thoughts. They really do know how to strip you from your confidence and leave you in a state of confusion. Boundaries are like kryptonite to them.

In the beginning I was guided by my heart, When I started to realize the toxicity, I began to stand up for my rights as a woman / wife & setting my boundaries with unhealthy situations. When I began to set boundaries, He began to become verbally abusive. I am happy now & feel more fulfilled without him. I see what you're saying about enforcing boundaries, but to avoid defensive fights boundary management and negotiations come before boundary defences. The defences should be the last layer touched by accident but not stood on or pressed against. Of course, boundaries around time/money can have more negotiation whereas boundaries for example about your body should not be up for negotiation at all. Some toxic men are scared by firm boundaries, some like the challenge! But no toxic man can stand a firm believing woman on the deen calmly negotiating boundaries based on quran and sunna - the more a toxic man messes with that, the more humiliated and emasculated they will find their position AND the more they'll struggle to project/scapegoat those feelings onto the believing woman. Islam is cryptonite to toxic narcissicism, alhamdulillah.

How does a woman leave when the kids will be upset and affected by our separation/divorce? I had an arranged marriage and it’s a long story but I was incredibly naïve and it’s taken me incredibly long to figure out that he’s really toxic. Now I’m worried that he’s mentally is going to affect and shape my kids mentality. I’m seriously unsure what to do.

What if you've been married for a long time and you just started to wake up and know that he's toxic? He might notice and say you've changed and be angry. Is divorce an option? (No me btw)
@NafisasPearlz
@NafisasPearlz Жыл бұрын
Yes he will definitely notice and he will not like it but boundaries still have to be placed but slowly and lightly. Get some personal help with dealing with him because of one is not use to placing boundaries on people , they will find it hard to follow through

Just simply tell him that you don’t want to discuss such a matter with him. Use that sentence any time he asked an inappropriate question and soon enough he will get the message!

Who is the supervisor's supervisor? Put your complaint in writing or ask how you can file a complaint Cite being discrimated against on the basis of your religion Use the word "discrimination" and "harassment" in your letter as they treat these cases seriously I'd also seek out a hijabi nurse/hospital worker and ask her who you should get in touch with as she may be more understanding and may point you in the right durection or suggest an entirely different solution altogether The best of luck
