The medley of 8 songs on Abbey Road starting with, “You Never Give Me Your Money,” through to, “The End,” is amazing. After listening to it you start to understand the Beatles genius of songwriting.

I was 12 years old. My big sister’s boyfriend introduced me to The Beatles “White Album”. We listened to it from Song 1, as he educated me on the songs and the history of the Members. It’s a blessed memory and a lesson “To truly understand, one must have Knowledge”.

A short, sweet tune that sets a mood for your birthday. You asked for it, so here is the lineup. Ringo (Starkey) Starr-Drums, George Harrison-Guitar, Paul McCartney-Bass and John Lennon-Guitar, they all sing at one time or another, but mostly Paul and John. Probably one of, if not THE, most important and influential bands to ever walk the planet. Many, many, many bands cite The Beatles and then either Led Zeppelin or The Rolling Stones as their biggest influences, but The Beatles led the way for the "British Invasion" in the early 1960's. My mom insisted we get a new TV for The Beatles first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. I didn't get it then, I was six, but later on, I definitely "got" it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BROTHER!❤ The Beatles. The most successful musical act of all time. They have sold more than a billion and a half records world wide. That's more than Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley combined! In the universe of popular music, the Beatles were the equivalent of the "Big Bang!" The Beatles members were: John Lennon: vocals, rhythm guitar. Paul McCartney: vocals, bass, piano, guitar, organ. George Harrison: vocals, lead guitar, acoustic guitars. Ringo Starr: some vocals, drums, percussion.

OK. So this is Beatles song #1 for you? Sheesh, what a road ahead. As a musician myself from a very early age, I have never heard any other band come close to them. The best way I can describe their complete mastery of the pop/rock song is that they made very complex arrangements sound simple and totally accessible to any listener of any age in any part of the world. I remember about 10 years ago when I hadn't listened to the Beatles for a long time, a friend gave me a CD with over 100 Beatles songs on it in random order. I listened to it and knew all the songs and after each song, I couldn't believe how the hits just kept coming and coming and the sheer brilliance of the writing and arrangements, the fact that they recorded many of these live in the studio with no overdubs. No matter what style, and there were many, what era, early career or later, every song was amazing. And finally to consider that everything on that CD AND many other songs that didn't happen to be on that CD were all created before the band split up when George, the youngest member, was 27!!!!! To have produced all of that, incredible music by 27 and then call it a day, it just blows my mind still.

They were only around for about a decade but they had so many songs and so many hits and so many hit albums it was insane. And they evolved so rapidly over those ten years or so. So every album sounds different and even within a given album they sound different. A popular one to react to and one that really gives you a look at how they were starting to sound later in their career, and it's a fantastic song, is A Day In The Life. And at the end make sure not to cut it off until it's clearly over because well I won't say anything. 😅

We all have different backgrounds and reference points, and it must be cool to learn about these classic artists. It's just difficult for our generation who came up with the Beatles, to realize there are others who know little about them. They were so huge, especially in 1964 when they burst into the US and took them by storm. With millions of screaming young ladies chasing after them. I really think the enthusiasm of those fans propelled the Beatles into the mammoth phenomena they became. Their earlier music targeted those teen fans. But later, they matured, and their music became more hip, more psychedelic. They virtually invented psychedelic music. I would say that peaked at the White Album, as far as creativity and emotion. And oddness. Their last album, Abbey Road, was pretty good though. More classic in style than the White album.

Happy Birthday🎉. This us from their last Lp Abbey Road released in September, 1967. This one was written and sung by lead guitarist George Harrison. Even with the incredible 200 song catalog of Beatles songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, this one written by Harrison is the most streamed Beatles song on Spotify with over 700 million plays as of 2021. I don't know what it's up to now. Such a positive uplifting and just beautiful song. The Beatles, the greatest and most influential band in the history of popular music and it ain't even close. I've been seeing more and more younger black ones who say they need a break from rap with all the cussing, bragging and yelling and react to a Beatles song and then start down that rabbit hole and they quickly get hooked. They get hooked because it's the most diverse catalog of music ever. The Beatles experimented and dove into just about every genre of music which sets them apart from all others. Listen to early Beatles songs from 1963-64 and then listen to from late 1965-66-67, you wouldn't know it was the same band if you weren't familiar with the band. Other all time great bands, The Rolling Stones always sound like the Stones, same with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Doors and I could go on and on. A few bars in, you know who it is. Not The Beatles though, always moving forward and always changing and that's what sets them apart from all others. The all time GOAT'S. All other claimant's are pretenders to the Throne. PEACE

Hello, first, Happy Birthday, and what better way to celebrate by listening to The Beatles for the first time, these 4 lads from Liverpool made music that is timeless for everyone to enjoy, I first saw them on the Ed Sullivan Show Feb 9, 1964 , I was 7 y/o ( yes I'm 66) , and have been a fan ever since with Ringo Starr being my favorite, listen to more Beatles music and you won't be disappointed

That one was written by George Harrison, who is generally credited as being the lead guitar player with the band. He got fed up with a string of endless business meetings, and bunked off one morning to just sit in his garden. The sun came up and he composed this gem. Because Paul and John dominated the music produced, George was starting to feel restricted, and wanted more space to deliver his output. The band split shortly after this, and George had a very successful solo career, releasing several acclaimed albums. A lot of it stuff that had been simmering but not released under the Beatles name.
