Dear Suzie, I am only self taught and only doing my own nails, but you have no idea, how tranquil and relaxing it is, to watch you doing any form of work on your nails... the music, your voice, your "craftwomanship" and skills...this channel is truly one of my favourite happy places to escape to, after work. Thank you

Suzie, I've been watching your channel for months, and I finally decided to give it a shot. My natural nails are so soft and weak, they are like plastic baggie material. (Well maybe not quite THAT soft, but you get the idea.) Anyway I had to get the store-bought acrylic supplies that aren't that great, but I used your tips and techniques, and I was really proud of my results. Considering it was my first time, I was very pleased, and it looks like I went to a professional! Thank you for your channel and giving "civilians" like me so much invaluable information!

Can you do a video showing how to camouflage shorter nail beds. I had one technician do it. He made me look like I had long nail beds. I’m thinking he used pink higher up and hid my natural smile line somehow. 🤔

We've seen Suzie do this technique in some of the french videos I think!
@calichef1962
@calichef1962 5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you figured it out! That's exactly what he did! He used a cover (opaque) pink to cover your natural smile line and then used white against the pink to create a longer appearing nail bed. It's a very common practice. Some manicurists _really_ exagerate the nail bed with the cover pink so that it's past the fingertip altogether. I'm not a fan of that look. I want to sculpt nails that _could_ look like someone's real nails, if a bit more picture perfect.
@loganavenue1
@loganavenue1 5 жыл бұрын
calichef1962 It was one of the most amazing transformations to my nails! But he moved.... and I’ve never been able to get somebody else to do it like he did. Or maybe I haven’t been able to explain it properly. There is always a language barrier at the nail salons where I live. 🤷‍♀️ anyways I’m hoping if she does a video I can show it to the nail tech. 🤞

Nothing jarring, nothing loud, just soft, gentle music that works perfectly with Suzie's voice. *Mr. Camera Man, just in case nobody's told you lately, you do a WONDERFUL job! Your editing, lighting, sound, captions and background music all blend perfectly and gives the channel a look and feel all its own. I’m a DIYer, and I take FOREVER...I mean really FOREVER to do my nails. Just learning to sculpt nails, and decided on Polygel for its forgiving nature. But I’m embarrassed to say that I literally spent 6+ hours from start to finish. And they still didn’t look this good. I think I grew impatient by the time I got to the color portion because I was embarrassed at how long it was taking me. My sister laughed at me because I spent all day...ALL DAY doing my nails. I am so addicted to it though. Your designs are always so beautiful and your guidance and tips so very helpful. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
