They are pretty, very attractive... But you didn't build any strength into these. There is no apex, and for nails of that length, they will start popping and breaking pretty quick. I would point out to your viewers, that if they are going to recreate them, that they go and add strength, an apex and a body to the nails. I know you said you made these to pop off, but a beginner might not fully understand that, that also meant you skipped the part of adding stability to the nails. For art and decoration, they are very pretty... 😊

Hi, thank you for your concern! But the apex, in reference to this video in specific, is unique to this set and this set only. In general, the apex is the highest point in the nail, but that doesn’t mean that it has to be incredibly thick. It’s important to remember that the apex should be aligned with the length, AND shape of the nails you’re doing. Because these nails aren’t very long(and they’re mainly almond-shaped), its not necessary to make the apex super thick. It’s also important to note that nails that are too thick will cause pain and soreness, and, as I mentioned before, these nails are not long and don’t require such a thick base. As for the nails “popping off”, that is something that comes from insufficient prep work. If your nails are not prepped correctly, meaning there are oils, dirt, and other particles on the nails, then they will lift and start to pop off. And as for breaking, that is also likely determined by the tip thickness. Of course, the apex absorbs hits and different accidents, but “breaking” can sometimes be caused by the *tip* of the nail not being thick enough, which isn’t the case here. As for my subscribers, I have multiple videos explaining the correct structure for acrylic nails that they can refer to, where I focus on building the structure. And, even though I use the pop off method, my nails hold up and can withstand accidental hits😅 Also, I know that my subscribers are comfortable enough to ask me about anything that they may be unsure of, and of course, I answer those questions accordingly. Lastly, an important aspect of doing nails, that a lot of people don’t mention, is that nail structure greatly depends on the nail tech. For someone who focuses on, for example, Russian manicures, they’re structure may look different in comparison to someone who focuses on western-styled nails. I like to keep an open mind to other people’s tastes and styles, because everything that works for them make not work for me, and vice versa. All in all, the apex doesn’t need to be a mountain, and varies depending on the length and shape!😅Again, thank you for your concern; I hope this clears everything up💗

@@nailsbycyy You didnt build an apex at all. I never once said you need to create a super thick nail, but you didn't add any arch at all. Popping does not only come from improper prep, that can be once cause. In each response you've given, you listed the most extreme example, and said only one cause is possible. Which you then followed by saying you were open minded, yet showed none in your response to me. For example, breaking is not only caused by thin tips, nor is lifting only cause by think nails. You list one reason for a problem.. I cannot comment on anything you have said previously in other videos, as this was my 1st exposure to you. I can only go on what I was shown today, as many others may also do. I also referred to viewers of the video, and you only wanted to talk about your subscribers. It didn't matter what I said, you twisted it to your narrative .
