How to Prep Nails For Acrylic Application With an E-File - JJ's Back!!!!

JJ's BACK GUYS! So for the past 10 months (ish) poor JJ hasn't had the time to come get her nails done and we've missed her, but she's also just been wearing gel polish so these nails have never seen acrylic. Perfect opportunity to show you guys how I prep a client who I've either never seen before, or haven't seen in a long time, and how to prep entirely using an E-file. Enjoy.

Welcome back, JJ! You've been missed! But I don't know how in the world you could take an 80 grit file to your nail plates, and in an attempt to remove gel polish? OMG! What drugs were you _on?_ I panic if I have to use a 180 grit file on the surface of my nail plates! This is simply *gorgeous* prep work! It makes me *want* to grab her hand and just start laying a clear base layer while we talk about colors and designs. I wouldn't be able to wait for any decisions beyond length and shape!

I love this video, makes me see that I am still doing the prep steps correctly and not missing anything out. I prep with a cuticle pusher for hands but we use an electric file for the toes, I also love the electric file for the full pedicure, makes the feet so much smoother

Have an order for acrygel arriving on Monday! I really struggle with acrylic application (complete newbie) I'm guilty of overfiling my nails so have had to leave them a bit to grow out and heal. Love your videos kirsty! If it weren't for you I'd still be paying for crappy nails to be done, you set the bar very very high xx

Professional question: how do you deal with a nail the grows up instead of the natural down curve of a nail? Best visual I can give is text symbols... natural curve (| upward curve )| the straight line represents the finger and the curved represents the nail. ( no matter how much or how clean it how short I do her nails. They always pop off and it's hard to deal with that curve to make a clean add on. And her nails are super tiny!!!
