Thanks alot for the video! Just installed the A6, and backup camera. Works perfectly! I don't recommend using any T-taps. I used a couple, and none of them worked. I just sodered everything, now works like a charm! Steering wheel control was super easy with your method as well! Keep up the great work with the WJ content!

The only issues I have with that radio is the latency is with audio played through CarPlay and when you leave maps and come back in take it a minute to catch up to your current location. Also, for some reason it’s created 3 different CarPlay connections in my phone.
@NajarOffroad Жыл бұрын
Interesting. I noticed sometimes CarPlay like once a month or two months would take a bit to boot up. I had it for about a year and upgraded to the new F7 which is faster than the old one and I haven’t had issues yet
@notme22 Жыл бұрын
@@NajarOffroad i bought my wife the F7 for Christmas and just got myself the A6 PF because it was on sale for the same price. I’ve got to say that even though the F7 doesn’t have all the features the A6 PF has, I like it better. It’s just easier to use the CarPlay. Even though I have automatic boot to CarPlay turned on it doesn’t seem to do it unless CarPlay was the last thing I was on.

Thanks for the video - I just bought one after watching this! One question - how do you get CarPlay to boot up automatically on startup? I have the default Atoto screen then have to manually select CarLink app, in your demo it goes straight in to CarPlay

If you go to the call app on the left hand there is Bluetooth I believe the setting is right there to start the car link app automatically. I believe that’s where I saw it

Great vid, I just got this for an old 2008 Honda Pilot. Was wondering if you had to buy a steering wheel kit of it just worked for you? It would appear I might need an adapter kit, which is another $60.
@NajarOffroad2 жыл бұрын
So for my Jeep, I had to splice into the factory wires for the buttons. Just one wire and then I programmed it with the radio and all my buttons worked. I’m not sure about a Pilot though
@natesambo97592 жыл бұрын
@@NajarOffroad Thanks for the reply. Yeah I sort of got it to work, I have 2 wires coming off the Atoto A6 PF head unit, one is steering + and one is steering #+ - I tried wiring both plus using the ground method you showed, and when i would press and release volume up it just kept increasing until it was turned up full blast lol. Anyway, I also tried with each individual wire and same deal, 2nd time I was at least smart enough to test using volume down. :). I've seen several vids that tell me which wires i need to use in the Pilot, so maybe it's just my head unit. The steering wheel program buttons light up and everything, it just doesn't work right. Anyway, thanks for replying and listening.
@natesambo9759 Жыл бұрын
I figured out the issue of why the button was behaving that way. The wiring was correct, but you have to program more than one button on the steering wheel control app to get it to work correctly. I was only programming 1 button and testing it, if you do that it will just keep "pressing" the button, you have to program at least 2 or more to get it to function correctly. Thanks again!!

HELP! I installed the ATOTO F7XE in my 99 Jeep Wj and i can't figure out this issue. Between 30 and 45mph my radio will turn off. Once above 45 it comes on and stays on until you slow down again. It also works when lower than 30mph and stays on until you go above. This has perplexed everyone I've met and asked. Wires are good, fuses are good.

Thank you for the video, very nicely done 👍. I have my Atoto A6 Performance model installed and it powers up fine, but no audio output. I've just seen your tip for turning on the amp in Android settings and will give that a try later (dark and cold here in Spain at the moment). What I'd like to ask is... I am assuming you have connected to an external amp, otherwise I guess to wouldn't need to turn on and looking at your wiring it seems as though you are sending high-level (speaker) signals to the amp and not low-level (RCA) signals to amp... Is this the way you have it and is it ok? As part of my search for a no sound solution, Atoto have told me not to send high-level speaker signals to the amp! Mines a 2001 GC Limited with oem Infinity sound and amp. Thanks for any info.
