Both radios have built in steering wheel control modules, and which is better is aquestion only the user can answer, one has CD/DVD (NA6605), the other does not.

I had one installed in a manual transmission car, and when I tried to usb port my Android, was looking for car to be in park. Next time I turned it on and every time, date goes back to 1970 and nothing works. Update: Toyota Yaris ground/return to small gauge wire, so when added load of connecting Android to radio cause a low current condition impacting logic. Larger guage wire fixed the problem.

Hi, I have the same problem, how did you fix it? Which wire needs to be replaced? The metal case is bolted on the car body, and the car body is earth.isn't it? Thanks

@@taaimit9808 i was never able to get my android to work with it correctly. The day going back to 1970 was fixed by installer, and I can remember what wire it was, but it was a wiring issue. I got an iphone a few months back and just for the heck recently hook it up, and rolling boots, ugh. I then did a reset with the button in upper left corner, and tried again, and it working amazing now. Every where I go, my iphone is plugged in, and listening to tunes and watching maps.

Although it is a video out port, there is no video out. Have you tested it?

Honest answer, no, we have not tested it. Most people do not use the video out, as rear set entertainment is not as popular anymore, and when someone does have rear seat entertainment, they are usually using the rear seat screen/s to play the content (with built in DVD, or USB etc.)

Can you connect Bluetooth obd2 dongle with it? The radio do not have option for changing Bluetooth pin. I have Nam5730 9IN installed. It pairs to obd2,but fails to connect

Just bought this. Very excited for the install. Question though - The rear single sub out RCA in Green; if a powered sub has two line in RCAs, do I just run a single line from the Green Sub Out and pick Left or Right on the amplified sub OR should a Y-cable be used?

@@jkstdstang I can't speak about that because I have an Android, but my cousin and I drove from Connecticut to Brooklyn, New York to go to the Barclays center and we had his Apple 15 hooked up my radio and it worked fine.

Hello. I have two questions about this radio. Does it have to go through the Nakamichi screen with the red status bar on the bottom each time you start the car? I have the constant power hooked up and it keeps the time, date and last radio station. Did you have any issues with the screen randomly flickering when you have the park or headlights turned on? The dimmer switch also doesn't seem to dim the lighting. Thanks.

Yes the Nakamichi load screen is applicable, every time you start the car (turn the radio on)

Make sure the illumination wire is connected, otherwise the radio's back light will not work.

@@rodrigogarcia7235 Should be the orange wire, although the manual has what appears to be a misprint, where it states orange is ACC (accessory) and red is illumination.

Just installed one of these. Android auto does not work with my 2023 Samsung a34 like it's supposed to so no nav. Bluetooth seems to have paired for phone calls though (havnt tested it yet though) I'm devastated that I don't have nav though. Also, does not play DVDs like it's supposed to.

@nfountain1717 yep. It just did not have half the functions it was advertised as having, Inc, airplay or Android. Not only that, the sound quality was atrocious. I sent it back and got a different brand.

How do you enable the steering wheel controls in settings? A tech installed the 6605 for me and says he hard wired the streering wheel controls but I can't get them to work. Any ideas?

You have to go into the SWC programming menu and manually program all of the buttons, then save the programming.
