Received my 2023RR a couple of weeks ago and I am very annoyed at the useless rear view mirrors...they are almost dangerously useless at speeds above 20mph...for such a beautifully engineered bike I just don't understand what BMW is doing with this important piece of road safety now searching for a fix- once again thanks for your reviews.

Perhaps I'm missing the point, but when would one put these mirrors into the "wing" position, with no "mirror" function whatsoever? Whilst parked? For photo opportunities? On a track day? £400 (is that correct?!), is a lot of money, even by Rizoma's standards, for something that seems to offer, at best, a crystal clear view of one's cuffs.

I'm happy with the $40 ones off of ebay. $400-500 for mirrors is obscene. That's a new pair of Michelin Road 6's and 12 fill-ups on my bike. Not to mention, they are easy to steal.

Rizoma mirrors are superb once you've had them you can put them on any bike all you need is the adaptor, quality and finish are so good you could put them on your mantelpiece, with slight convex and anti glare you won't use anything else. Got them on my scooter and bike

I just bought my first motorcycle, i got an mt07, and I absolutely hate the stock mirrors. They're gigantic, and yet i can't see a thing out of em. Was looking at the rizomas but there's no way in hell im gonna drop $400+ on mirrors

Frankly speaking, these stealth mirrors really don't serve that much good purpose, even the visibility is very limited. So, knockoffs or original both are not really not that much worthy to buy. But yeah, for looks one can definitely go for these.

The fake ones come loose alot and vibrate an extreemly loud squeel if you ride above 10,000rpm, but if you ride at 8k and under they work very well for $60USD on Amazon.👍

The answer to them spinning from wind pressure is a serrated washer under the mirror stem with locktite on the bolt,,no ,,movement.

How does installation work with rizomas since the OEM mirrors have indicators in them? Are you left with no front indicators?

No indicators in them on the s1000R only the RR. So straight swap (with an adapter for the bolt).

I’m sorry i did buy my mirrors from Ali express and they are exactly the same as the Rizoma mirrors.. i think you have the wrong ali express knock-offs. The one’s in ur video look different from mine.

Not really, its not about the asthetic details, the functionality, relaiability and optical specifications of the original are not even closely matched by the fakes, and riding a motorcycle you should never riska even the slightesl details. Weather they break at speed or give you false image, it is a no brainer you should steer away from the fakes.

Surely the ones that have been created by the manufacturer (who probably spent a lot of money designing them) would be the better (or as you put it, less risky) option? Aesthetics and practicality very rarely go hand in hand - these 'stealth' mirrors very much seem to be form over function.

Iv been looking at the rizoma, but the price is ridiculous. For the money the Ali express doesn't look bad, and does make it tempting, but when you actually compare it to the branded stuff for example ducabike stuff, you can see that Ali express is low quality

idk about these it would be great if someone did a video of exactly how much coverage they give you on viewing the rear because for how small they are how can they? I hate my bikes huge mirrors but they are fit for purpose and give me coverage that i need. Can't say i wouldn't mind a set of these though just not the thought of something behind me i can't see.

I’m 5’10” and would need to drop my elbows but wasn’t an issue. You can get risers but I think that will make them look silly

They do. Personally I don’t mind, but others complain. You need to ride yourself for a 3 hour stint, if you have no complaints after 2/3 hours you’ll be fine. 👍🏻

It's ridicules to spend that much money on some thing that only looks good when you can't use them. Kind of dumb. I think I'm going to just take my mirrors off because they aren't the good any ways. I might just get me a mirror and stick it in my pocket and when I need to see behind me, I'll just pull it out and hold it up. It would be easier then reaching out in front of the bars and flipping them up.

They are very good and probably the most useful of all the mirrors as they are rock solid against the vibes of the bike. Any other mirrors combo is around £200 plus so not too extortionate. However because of price I’m not running them either 😂

To be fair bikers are mostly cool, sena on your helmet, camera etc. the bad ones are the scooter roadmen and you know when they are about. They’ll take the bike, not the mirrors
