Namco DDR Crapo-Cab Pad Restoration

Just seeing this. I used to work for namco. I had the crappo cab at my house a few years and gave it away, but kept the roxxer box. If you need really deep info, I got you. I was one of the people trying to keep them from making the deal, but they no listen LOL!

Amazing result! It almost seemed like a completely new build really because everything but the metal stuff was basically gutted and the panels typically are the things that give pads a different appearance overall.

When one of the malls here in town had Aladdin's Castle, back in 2005, the arcade ran ITG 2 on the Namco cab, a year later, they manager got rid of the cab and got the Andamiro cab

My local arcade had one of these back in the day (tho' I don't know for certain if it was actually a "Namco" crapo-cab) which ran a hacked PS1 that could run anything from DDR 3rd Mix to 5thMix (and I do remember one time they put ExtraMix on it). Thing was disgusting as heck inside with all the dust and cables dangling but it was the only DDR cab nearby.

I was working part time in a Namco arcade at the time and man was this hot feces. Funny enough, a bunch of the regulars and the manager of the arcade were like “nah, man, it’s just a cool, new, Extreme game 🤦🏻‍♂️

This video is from last year, so not sure if you'll see or read this. I've recently been trying to figure out a way to get an at home metal pad for less than 1 arm/1leg/1 firstborn. Have you DIY yourself more pads or if you don't use it and its taking up space would you be willing to part ways with it? I live near Chicago and could probably borrow an suv to transport it, or would you be willing to make one for me if I commissioned it? Or does anyone know anyone in the area who has an extra pad or cab/doublepad they would be willing to sell.. the ltek shipping cost makes it outlandish
