You know, after seeing this, I prefer Project X Zone over it. Everything is better. The artstyle, the sprites, the speed of battle, the battlefields themselves. Really, everything a sequel is supposed to do is done, and I don't mind that I never got to play it. Honestly, after adjusting to PXZ, I don't know if I WANT to play NxC. It seems a lot slower in comparison.

@@Lucareski36 I never said Namco x Capcom is bad. I just said that Project X Zone is just a better game, and i wholly believe that to be the case. The combo system and physics feel better and the timing feels tighter. The character roster has been expanded along with the enemies, which makes the scope even bigger, and more importantly, it's got a good translation so it's easier to follow the story without really horrid grammatical and spelling errors that the fantranslation of Namco x Capcom has. I have since played NxC in the years that I posted that comment and I still believe Project X Zone to be better in every single way.

Even taking into account how you feel about both games, that's perfectly valid, however I still think Project X Zone is the better game. And while you may preach that having better technology, presentation, etc. do not necessarily make a game better... it certainly helps. And thanks in part to all of those things, Project X Zone is the better game, I feel. Especially with regards to the gameplay which matters most to me.

You know what's weird about that last scene of Reiji and Xiaomu? Reiji doesn't feel that fazed by what Xiaomu is "offering" lol... Almost like they already kissed before, but Reiji thinks he's too cool and manly to get into a kiss in front of everyone lol Or that it's wrong to kiss a 765 years old fox lady. ErnestBowl Personality-wise I agree, I think they're too overplayed later on (which is, I think, because they cross the "Fanservice Frontier" at some point, where subtle sex jokes and very blatant sexualization is everywhere lol but I like it, I'm not complaining^^) Skill-wise now that's another story... They are so limited in NxC compared to pretty much everything else they were in it isn't even fair comparison at this point. For this, their latest incarnation is the best : their comboes are so well thought and choregraphed, you can see how good of a team they are !

Well yeah.... it's the game that introduced them. Look at any work of fiction or story. Everything is better at the beginning because that's where everything is mysterious and new, they start world building, introducing characters, and raising them up. And if they finish the initial conflict story up in the first round, instead of delayed like say Harry Potter or something like that, then obviously there would seem to be more to develop and to work on in the first installment, while everything else comes out afterwards would seem like mere chicken fodder or slight additional toppings on a cake. That's what we call fanservice or side developments.

Geez, what a horrible English translation. I can appreciate TransGen translating this game, but did they seriously not bother to proofread their work? There's tons of misspellings, run-on sentences, and other grammar failures strewn throughout the dialog. I can only assume they weren't native English speakers.

If people aren't going to bother getting the target language right, then they have no business translating anything at all. Any idiot can run foreign words through an online translator and blindly puke out the results. It's a big part of why I can't stand fan translators in general. Many of them just go off the rails and do their own thing. It's why I prefer professional translation work and that foreign media get official releases rather than ones fans did.
