Nameless Axle Back | Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness Install & Sound Check

Here is a quick video of me installing Nameless Performance Muffler Delete axle back exhaust on a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness with the 2.5L N/A boxer. It was a pretty simple procedure! Now that it's been 7 months with your exhaust on. What are your thoughts still?

Still happy with it! I like being able to hear my car - for me it gives it personality. I still don't think there's an obnoxious drone. It's honestly pretty quiet for the 99% of my driving which is highway cruising. It's pretty stinking audible when I smash the gas or when I'm going up a steep hill, but that doesn't bother me - it may bother some folks.

@@JaredRMorgan yeah that's wicked. I'm on the same page. I wanted to hear more personality on my 2023 crosstrek 2.5l outdoor model(Canadian model) that is an auto cvt. So I was looking to consider this one or the 5" muffler exhaust. A lot of people say there's lots of drove. But I wish I could hear the two in person !!

I think Nameless is the only real choice for a good-sounding axle-back with the FB20.

Thanks for the kind words! I've had it now since the video released and done a few lengthy drives. I'm a car guy so I think it's perfectly livable. There are no extreme obnoxious drones that catch an odd resonant frequency in the cabin. However, it should be noted that you're 100% going to hear your car most of the time. If that's something you don't like, I'd opt for the muffler version that only gets loud when you're getting spicy on the pedal. Hope this helps!

@@JaredRMorgan I think the newer single-exit with the small muffler will also allow for mounting an aftermarket tow hitch. I have the dual-muffler quad-tip version on my 2020 Impreza hatchback and my only regret is that I can't mount a hitch with it. Not a big deal right now, but it's good to know that I have a viable option if/when I do feel the need to put on a hitch.

Do you think the sound would be obnoxious for neighbors? I’m mostly just concerned about starting my car in the mornings and disturbing others. I personally love a loud exhaust, would you consider this loud or pretty tame?

The cold start is definitely loud. It’s something to consider. I live in the country and there’s a lot of space between houses. Plus my neighbors don’t care. Once the car is running, it’s audible at all times but not ridiculous. It’s only pretty dang loud on that cold start.

I had a Nameless 5” muffler on my FW. Ended up taking it off, the drone was too much. I’ve had louder cars before but this one was a lot

Thanks for the video. Very helpful for sound😊3 questions: 1: did u purchase the nameless bushings to replace the OEM’s? 2: did you end up using the nameless bushing removal tool? 3: Does this void the factory warranty? (I just purchased a 2024 Crosstrek sport)

I used the stock bushings, I did not use bushing tool, and I checked with my service advisor he said my warranty would be unaffected. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.

That’s a lot of noise creating a little horsepower. Once you put your foot in it, it’s going to be too loud, IMO. I’m looking at Nameless exhausts that still retain a muffler.

That’s what this one is! I went as tight as I could go with my two ratchets which is likely tighter than it was OEM. The factory exhaust didn’t fight me at all to break loose.

@@JaredRMorgan How does the exhaust sound at different speeds? How does it sound going in a road trip on the highway in the car? How does it sound when flooring it from a stop in the car? Do the fake shifts actually change the tone of the exhaust? Is it worth it to get an aftermarket exhaust with a CVT transmission?

I have done a few things since this video! I've kept the stock tires, but swapped the wheels out for something way more aggressive (and higher quality). It really helped the stance out quite a bit.

its loud.no drone.follow someone behind your car...it pops.made a homemade factory looking tip after cuttting off the 4 inch tip..then installed a pipe smaller to quite the pops down...almost legal but still loud..subie rumble........

No benefit really other than being able to hear the sound of your car. It's certainly not for everyone. As far as the CA legality, I have no clue. I live in the midwest.
