My favorite female character ever. Most valuable navigator, keeps their expenses and Luffy in check and have saved the crew's lives on many occasions yet people still expect her to do more than what she can handle? And in which cases she does step up in the front line and does what a normal human can't possibly do by sheer wit and fully utilizing her weapon. She and Ussop are definitely the bravest among the crew, they're supposed to be normal human beings yet they come out as valuable players and even legendary every damn arc.

It would indeed make sense for Nami to have some rather mild, unrefined Haki powers. I mean, at least at a glance; it turns what otherwise appear to be plot contrivances into subtle hints. As you stated, the "weather sense" and there is also how she can actually "hurt" Luffy when his Gum-Gum shtick should have prevented it. Of course the former is likely just the "heightened reality" of One Piece, where any significant character's skills are just _that good_ combined with "...because it is funny or endearing or Oda just forgot while writing that scene." for the latter. I love Nami, she's my favourite character in the series. I think of all the characters in the crew her character development has been executed the best because she keeps changing and growing gradually throughout the story instead of just in one arc like some of the others like Robin and Franky who haven't really changed much since Enies Lobby (not that they need to, I just like long-term character arcs).

I felt that Robin changed after Enies Lobby and post timeskip. She's a lot more open to her nakama with a lot more facial expressions than before when she joined the crew. After that arc, she let down her shield/wall/bubble because she found people who will protect her and fight for her and love her.

Little fact: during nami’s enslavement to the arlong pirates, she was branded a tattoo on her shoulder of the pirates signature. After the arlong’s were defeated, she had the tattoo removed, leaving a scar. To cover it up, she had a different tattoo added on it, depicting a pinwheel and an orange, connecting her to her step-mom and a police man, (please forgive me for forgetting their names) who was sliced up to protect nami and barely survived. Also, out of all the members of the straw hat gang, nami is the least combatant, either relying on her friends as protection (or in some cases, meatshields) or outright fleeing the attacker, even after obtaining the clima takt. Also, to add in a little extra, nami was actually the first member to run into luffy before she became a member, as, in the first episode, during a pirate attack on a fancy boat she was on, she snuck aboard the pirate ship and stole their gold, running into luffy before she made her escape.

Lucy is actually FUNNY. Probably because she's not constantly beating up and hurting her much more competent friends.
