My natural hair is almost black and I decided to give my hair a break from bleaching as well. I've been bleaching my entire head of hair since september of 2016 and dying it every color in the rainbow. At some point in march or something of this year I decided to give my hair a break from bleaching. It's now december and I haven't bleached my hair at all. I still dye my hair fun colors, but only the parts that are still lightened from when I used to bleach it. I think in about a year or so I'll bleach my hair again, because I really like having my hair dyed fun colors, but I'll make sure to bleach a good 3 or 4 inches away from the root. I used to bleach all the way to the root because I liked doing ombres with my hair. Like for example one of the ombres I did was having my roots purple, then have the rest of my hair fade into a dark pink and then into a light pink. I hate that I can't do ombres like that anymore cause they were my favorite to do, but my hair was getting so damaged and I'd rather give it a break than go bald lol

If you want hair to process quicker, you have to put way more bleach on it! The more bleach you use the faster and longer it processes. I am a hairdresser.

Be careful when you do it. Try to get bleach specifically made for facial hair. Since your brows are so close to your eyes you def don't wanna mess around.

The reason asian hair is so hard to lighten (or do any chemical service) is because the hair has a low porosity meaning that the cuticles are tight against the shaft of the hair and so product has a harder time penetrating the cuticles

I have porous hair too but idk if I'm high or low porosity. My hair curls up in humid weather and I have to bleach more than one time with 40 volume more than 2-3 times usually and its thick.its dark brown naturally

if you have a burn or cut on your finger, it is connected to your bloodstream, right? Your entire body works to heal that cut..... If it gets infected it will affect your hand, arm, heart etc. Her scalp is much larger than a finger and putting chemicals that burn AND go through the skin into her blood stream isn't the healthiest option for her. Sorry to ramble but if it's hurting her stomach, it makes sense to me personally. We can't separate our head from the rest of the body.
