Bleaching my roots only once (it kind of worked..)

Yes another bleach video because I retouched my roots but this time I only bleached 1 time :D i think my wet-on-wet bleach caused the white stripe to appear a little ways from my scalp so idk i'll have to figure out a way to get my roots to bleach ok evenly T T maybe i need to sit under a dryer on low heat or something u_u let me know if you have any advice tanks

You did the right thing going over parts with more bleach but if next time you do the brand new growth first then go back over that again and pulling the bleach through your grown out roots the hair closest to your head won’t be so yellow 💕💕💕. Your learning. The reason why you have a band of white is because you overlapped your bleaching, and let it get to your prebleached hair. Normally you would have to be cautious of that, and only try to keep the bleach on your regrowth only. It's okay you did a great job, bleaching is never easy.

Bleach doesn't stop developing. It just dries out which means it is less effective, but it's still damaging your hair (it's just not lifting colour) and if you sweat or the room is humid, the bleach will stay moist longer, especially at the root, and develop/damage longer. Either way, your hair is clearly incredibly strong, as most type 1 hair is from people with your ancestry. I have type two, but it's Caucasian. 40 vol would destroy my hair if I used it to bleach more than once every few months. But remember, 40 vol isn't recommended on the scalp. It's what it's doing to your skin, not your hair, that's the problem. It can weaken your follicles, scar your skin, and you're more likely to develop reactions, especially if you're pasty white and go into the sun afterwards (white people beware). With all that said and done, I do not blame you for doing this. Like you said, your hair is blacker than black. It's uber 0 and you have every pigment under the sun to lift out, and the fact that you get straight to yellow, jumping past every annoying red pigment you have, is astounding. Well done, it looks amazing.

Love the colour of your hair it's amazing. One thing I have learnt myself is covering the back first that has more time to process as it is darker than the top. The top receive more sun than the underneath so it will develop faster.

I think it’s worth mentioning though that bleach doesn’t have a development time, it’s not like regular tint where it stops developing after a certain time span, bleach will just keep developing so it’s always best to keep an eye on it!
