What bugged me the worst about the vt-3 was no delay effect. Nice upgrade to a cool piece of kit.

VT4 is not just a vocoder, it's also an autotuner, harmoniser, reverb, delay, pitch changer, formant changer, speaker/eq emulation

The AIRA stuff is legend! The VT-3 was an awesome sound design tool, and the VT-4 kicks it up a few notches.

I still roll on the VT-1, love the hell out of it. The VT-3 sounded unremarkable. But this one seems real legit. I may finally upgrade my orange and blue box.

Good demo! This is a pretty slick little box and will really catch on with the growing number of live looping performers. The intuitive layout is also very nice.

How does it know major or minor in standalone? or does it default to major?
@cresshead5 жыл бұрын
it can do major and minor via the roarty control...see it's manual.

@@cresshead Thanks!
@zombieman815 жыл бұрын
Unit technically only does major, but basic music theory says a "relative minor" is 3 semitones down from the related major, so for A minor you point the rotary at C. Documentation just says turn right three clicks, not explaining why.
@PhillyWatts5 жыл бұрын
For minor, choose the key and then turn the knob three clicks to the right

Ok so this basically has midi which is what we wanted in the vt3. Couldn’t they have updated the OS on the vt3 to include midi and saved us all a lot of money? Anyone want a second-hand vt3?
@blickblocks5 жыл бұрын
The problem with that is that USB-MIDI is handled by the USB microcontroller, not the main microcontroller. What is used to flash the main microcontroller to update and add new features? The USB microcontroller flashes it. You would need an external piece of hardware to flash the USB microcontroller itself to add USB-MIDI functionality. The VT-3 just wasn't designed for MIDI so it would not be an easy task to modify it because of how these pieces of technology work.

autotune is now a rotary dial on how "much" not just 2 buttons a/b vocoder now has an actual midi in din socket so can be driven for any real midi keyboard you can now specify a key your singing in with the key knob usb powered so could run off a battery power bank
