I much prefer a minimum of a 5-octave keyboard for polyphonic synths. 4-octave is fine for monophonic synths that allow splitting the keyboard with different oscillators assigned to each half of the split. Still this is an intriguing synth that encourages exploration.

Fantastic! would you be able to use the knobs and parameters to assign them to another paramaters within the daw, so that it acts also as a controller, also play another instruments from daw? The midi is just data language, so it would be possible to do these things without having to get some midi master keyboard? for example a piano instruments and stuff udo doesnt have, to play from daw on udos keyboard... The synth is mesmerizing.

When I spoke to George at Synthfest he said all panel controls would transmit CC's. I've been hoping for one of these latest videos to confirm that is functioning in the latest firmware as it is very much on my wish list. Fingers crossed !

Just had confirmation from Anthony at UDO - "With regard to your question; almost all of the front panel controls will transmit MIDI CC and NRPN data with a few exceptions; including master volume and some shift functions." Awesome stuff :-)

@@McEnroe911 All that tinkering is getting feedback from keenly interested buyers, experts, etc...which means the company is doing a lot of beta testing & early updates for you prior to its release (unlike many companies).🙂

@@derekbaker3279 you are right, with the price of the synth, they sell quality with the synth ( like moog, etc.... ), meaning a lot of test on the prototypes, but also on each synth they will sell. You don't sell a synth at more than 2000$/€ to professional musicians with the risk that the keyboard does not work well, or some serious bugs, if you want to be taken serious. In addition as new company, they need to make a reputation, and it will be with this synth. Quality and fast production are incompatibles.
