After seeing this for the first time now, I’m realizing that Namor would have for the longest time probably been one of, if not THE, overall strongest human beings on earth. He has the whole package: Speed, Strength, Stamina, Durability… He can move between land, sea and air with equal ease, and he’s had centuries to hone it all. Look at him disassemble Wakanda’s aircraft from 0:38 on with just his bare hands and a stick… He’s fighting with a level of finesse Tony Stark spent his entire superhero career to attain even half of.

Namor flooding Wakanda was an epic event in the comics the story in that version was that Namor was one of the omega level mutants chosen by the Phoenix Force for possession, and while becoming a Phoenix Force Avatar strengthened his abilities, it also enhanced his "mental instability", so in a "fit of madness", Namor flooded Wakanda, but Shuri, in the Namor Buster suit, appeared and knocked Namor down, depowering him from Phoenix Force mode

And this is why i prefer this film to its predecessor because the visual effects and set pieces are more refined and authentic. I find it odd that someone as smart as Shuri did not put in place some sort of radar or sensor to prevent this attack. Remember earlier in the movie, Namor appears in Wakanda without ever being noticed, surprising both the Queen and Shuri. It would be logical for Shuri, or even for the Queen, to put some sort of system in place to protect Wakanda from such a foe, who controls water. It’s logical cause at the beginning of Black Panther 2, the Queen puts a plan in place to protect Wakandian workers at the Wakanda help centers before a attack happens due to French Soldiers wanting to steal their Vibranium. Also, shouldn’t Shuri have worn some sort of nanotechnology camera while on Talokan, Namor’s underwater city, to scan the place for weaknesses or weaponry Talokan could use against Wakanda? Such nanotechnology was introduced in the first Black Panther film and it was designed by none-other than Shuri herself. Shuri could have designed a lot of things, like a underwater suit or more things to locate Talokan and take away its power source without being so obvious like in the final act of the film.

i feel like Wakanda's defense system is very underwhelming. I expected flocks of aircrafts instead of just a few. on top of that, their rescue efforts also look like they don't have enough people and resources to save a lot of people. i know this scene seems to depict that they're vulnerable and was exploited by Talokanils. but still, at least we could've seen that they react better than this.

This guy fell from the bifrost into deep space and somehow wound up on earth.. 🫤 Namor is formidable in his own right but the problem with him is that his source of strength is also his fundamental weakness - water. Take him away from hydrogen and this guy is as threatening as a kitten. Loki could easily separate Namor from water via magic, teleport him away from any bodies of water and Namor is reduced to a fish. Loki is strategic, tactical and swift. Namor is only dangerous within his own territory. In a desert he’d be completely useless.
