Aquaman, the King of Atlantis vs Namor, the Feathered Serpent God who is the more powerful ruler of the seas? I'm sure you all expected this video and i’m here to deliver. Now, you may be thinking “oh here we go, another MCU vs DCEU video where the MCU gets stomped, well you’re in for one of the most competitive match-ups in the MCU and DCEU rivalry. As always, I will be breaking down each character's strengths and weaknesses to determine who the more powerful combatant is and who would win in an epic, all out brawl. We will be discussing the MOVIE VERSIONS so we will not be referencing any comic book material unless that material is canon to the movies. We’re also going to be equalizing speed for this battle as the DCEU still consistently clears the speed of the MCU. Finally, and I know it’s going to upset many of you, but again we’re using the theatrical cut of to scale Aquaman. It’s the current canon in the universe unless something changes.

That's the key. The right material is more affective. Namor breaking vibranium doesn't make him as strong as Thanos. Just means vibranium weaponry is superior against vibranium armor. It's like rock paper scissors. Just because Rock is better against scissors, which beats paper. So if you say "Rock must be the best since it beats the thing that beats paper" but that's just wrong. Different things are better against specific things than others.

Namor is one of Mavel's 1st characters ... but the 2 ( N & AM ) that I don't see them being a rip-off of each other - each is too unique aside from being kings of Atlantis and being from a water domain. The Inhuman 'Triton" isn't a copy of either character either. That would be like saying Dr. Strange is a rip-off of Dr. Fate. Dr.Fate came 1st but the characters are different enough that they are unique. There are plenty of instances where the copy-cat factor is in play between the 2 companies prominently : Black-Cat & Cat woman; Death-Stroke & Dead Pool; Wonder Woman & Wonder-man etc.

I think his power increases in the sense of oxygen levels, as they said in the movie. That's why he started blacking out on land, he was suffering from hypoxia, or not enough O2 to his brain. Also he chose to fight instead of regenate his water supply even though he had time to fly up and lay the smack down on shuri. It's not that he's more powerful in the water, just that gets hindered the long he's out of water. Also can we talk about how strong that glass was? Namor can cut through a vibranium ship, but not glass? Even vibranium glass would be weaker than metal... And he using a sharp point only cracked the glass... I'd give this to Aquaman 6/10 times personally, based on actual feats in their films, and not based on statements by filmmakers. My head canon is what I see, not off screen remarks by some director.

Another disadvantage aquaman has is he is less skilled when fighting in 360 degrees or when there’s no ground to stand on During his first fight with orm he was evenly matching him while standing on the central platform but the fight soon tipped in orm’s favour once they left it as aquaman has less experience in 360 degree combat This would give namor a large advantage as he would have far more experience in 360 degree combat both in water and in the air as he would’ve had far longer to hone his skills, while the vast majority of aquaman’s combat training was on the beach in terrestrial combat

If both of your maths are correct, which they were the same for the Hulk punching vibranium feat, that would make Aquaman IN WATER to be (500000/25000)=20 times stronger IN WATER than Hulk is on Land. If Namor is the same strength as the Hulk while Namor is IN WATER, then Aquaman is 20 times stronger based on past videos and other KZbin sources, along with actual physics equations to back them up.

Pre-watch impressions: Namor is stated to be on par with Thor and the Hulk by in-universe comments and Word of God. That puts him at about Country level at bare minimum. He can also fly and should have centuries of combat experience. Momoa Man should be peers with Wonder Woman and Steppenwolf, which puts him in the City Level to Island level neighborhood. We should also take into consideration the fact that he can summon abominations from the depths that should at bare minimum scale to him in power. Giving this one to Namor. Edit: I had never heard about that Doomsday moon level feat. Obviously completely changes things.

Good video. Idk if Khonshu could destroy a moon, he's of a metaphysical God than thor or Zeus but he is powerful. Thor is more powerful in Thor 4. He's in better physical shape, has the Odin force and he's got Zeus's thunderbolt. Hulk is iffy, he got healed from She Hulk blood but strength wise is hard to tell. That said I have methods of figuring out both. For Hulk's strength calc the force behind the terminal velocity go boom boulder throw feat from She Hulk ep1. For Thor, count the number of kids he imbued with the power of Thor in the movie, then multiply endgame Thor's strength or electric power or whatever stat by that number. Might want to compare that to Hela's strength as a way to check since the Odinforce which Thor has now is powerful enough to contain Hela and should be comparable in energy values.

The problem with Steppenwolf being moon level is that when Zack Snyder claimed he thought doomsday and broke the moon he was talking about his version not the canon version from the 2017 movie because the Snyder cut isn’t canon to the main DC EU timeline so that version of Steppenwolf that you used never accomplish that feat at least not in that universe but he was amped by the Mother boxes which would scale him higher to planetary

You forgot to say that the only reason Namor could cut through the vibranium ships is because his own staff is made of vibranium. If you add super strength so it's possible just like any other for people to cut through it. His strength really doesn't exceed Thanos. Thanos would destroy those ships just the same with his blade.

In the sea the have super strenght, speed, endurance and durability. On the land they have super strenght and durability. They can communicate with sea life, they have powerful tridants that can shoot magical energy blasts, they get week if they are long time out of sea water, they think like kings. Namour can fly, Aquaman can water bend. Since they depend on sea water, water bending is more useful then flight. Aquaman > Namour.
