I have landed 1U9 (Pine, Idaho). I’ve only landed it once, but it’s a nice airstrip right on the Andersen Ranch Reservoir. Great scenery. When I land there again I will make sure to post a video of it. The nearest town (Pine) is quite a walk, so unless you have a ride or want to walk a couple of miles, the best thing is to enjoy the scenery. Also, the runway slopes towards the reservoir, so just be prepared for that. Other nice Idaho airstrips to checkout are Indian Creek, Johnson Creek, Flying B…. Lot’s more and feel free to contact me with any questions. I have several friends that are way more experienced than I am on many ID backcountry airstrips.

Wonderful! If I ever get the chance to travel up there, and someone asks where to go, I will definitely choose to visit 1U9. Have you ever been there?
