Thank you Paddy, for capturing the moments of Nan today. I visited Nan in late 1982 and stayed a week in a wooden house in a Thai temple by the Mekong river. Life then was rustic and beautiful. It is so wonderful to have lived through that moment in Thailand from a different era Now, I get to experience it in my old age through your eyes (GoPro10). Wow so glad that you took the plunge to capture all these moments in your journey around Thailand. My adventure started in 1973 as a young lad with my father and I was so fortunate through my work in the agriculture sector, to have lived and visited Thailand from the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000. Trust me Thailand is timeless.

Nan is a beautiful province. The roads are awesome. The mountains and views are amazing. The air is clean. The people are great, super friendly, and lovely. And although it has the comforts of the modern world, Nan still maintains its distinct cultural, natural, and historical charm. Anyways, great video, mate. Made me miss Nan.

I have to say leaving New England for Thailand I am all about the north and those beautiful magnificent mountains. These last weeks have made me realize more and more how much I miss being there and how I am so glad to be heading back soon. I know what Thomas is saying and appreciate his point of view but I am just the opposite. The beach for me is the two week vacation and a change of scenery but not a place I could live day in and day out. And hearing this sweet little girl singing her heart out is filling my heart up! How could someone not fall in love with the entire scene. Thanks so much Paddy today was a good day for a heart warming Paddy VLOG. I think your vids are getting better and better if that was even possible. Love it!

Concur. Heaches are exactly for a 1-2 week holiday. It would do my head in living in and amongst tourists, both Thais, but especially the Chinese and Westerners. Try Loei, in the NE, another wonderful, low population count province. Not as pretty as Nan, but the nicest people you'll meet because they are North Easterners, basically Lao heritage.

It is almost 10 years since I have visited Nan and spend 16 days there. The best place for me, I may give to “Phu Lanka” where I can walked into the cloud and sit down only to see cloud passing by, and there was only me and my husband there. The second one is Doi SamerDao, which is a hill overlook a river with sea of mist surrounding you in the morning.
