Sometimes I come here when I need a good laugh. This is wholesome and funny. I can’t believe all these people on here judging a sweet moment with a kid and his nana. Nana is supposed to be fun, guys! And this is a toddler. He knows cookies are yummy, and if this is the stuff that’s in cookies, it’s gotta be yummy, too!Curiosity is one way kids learn and he clearly has a lot of it. She’s not encouraging or allowing him to eat the ingredients, but he’s a kid and I commend her for being able to laugh it off. This kind of patience deserves an award.

OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS. My daughter just had twin boys 4 months ago and this has to be the most precious video I’ve seen in a long time. Nana Kudos to you my dear for having so much patience. I think this is an excellent teaching video, it really shows how absolutely quick little hands can be and how diligent and aware we adults must be around our little ones to keep them safe and out of harms way. Honestly, that's not mean. That's a good way to show actions do have consequences, which I feel a lot of parents don't do since they don't want to be the 'bad guy'. Long as he got another chance some other time to help bake again or what have you.

I agree with you. This type of behavior may be "cute" and/or "adorable" right now but by laughing and allowing it to continue even after you've already told him "no, dont do that" only reinforces that actions dont have consequences. This is the age where they soak up everything and teaching your children obedience and rules is so important. When they are not made to follow rules and have no consequences when they dont follow rules, only teaches them that following rules is a choice for them instead of a responsibility. Its cute right now but when hes 8, 9, 10 and older he will be a handful that you won't be able to control. No consequences for Cade while hes young turns into Cade does what he wants regardless what the rules are when he gets older. "Spare the rod spoil the child".
