I agree with your points 100% around the 10 min mark about failure of spirituality within sikh practices. The biggest failures are the Gurdwaras (with respect I refer to committees and sangat). No one discusses this and apart from Nanak Naam who are the only sikh group that is actively teaching How to meditate, rather than do lip service of Gurbani. If you have a spiritual issue, literally majority of these Gianis have no clue. This is all thanks to the Singh Sabha movement that have bastersized Gursikhi and turned it to a abrahmic like model. Gone is the mysticism that was once there. But Nanak Naam are doing their thing to bring it back! Well done and carry on the good work!

I agree with Satpal Singh ji . He says everything is gobind , every thing is god thats what gurbani is telling us . But why do we fight then when everything is god . Why guru maharaj ji as well fought battles with mughals when they were also god . I know everyone will say to protect the humanity . I am not getting this point , can Satpal Singh ji explain in some videos about this. When everything is god then why do we fight. Please make some video on it veerji🙏🏻 I hope you understand my pain. I am really stuck with this. Thanks satpal veerji
@Fat_Catt4 жыл бұрын
Manmeet Randhawa |||| it’s not god fighting god. It’s “I am” clashing with another thing. One party creating a duality and fighting against it. If u and I were Kings and we got into a fight under this thread, it will eventually end with me sending my men to fight you or you sending yours to fight mine to try and prove who’s right bc of our ego. Satpal said in one of his last videos that the cause of wars and rape and all the bad things is this concept of “I am” duality and egotism. If all humans got rid of that, see everything as god, there will be no wars or fights.

Maninder Kaur Chahal Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh ji. Thank you for explaining. I know baani says “ neh kich janmai neh kich marai” like nothing is taking birth nothing is dying . Its like energy changing the form. Energy cannot be created nor be destroyed , its just changing forms. So would that means that we just do what is right and ethical according to us at that particular moment whether its saving someone . Like lord krishna asked to arjun to fight in mahabharat after giving him wisdom.

Only 5 per cent of drinking alcohol is happy times (which you still pay for equally back) 95% is disappointment and expectations.
@darkwillow574 жыл бұрын
Yeah I used to drink too much everyday for a long time. Ruined my marriage. I drank to try to self medicate depression but booze only made it worse. I finally quit and it was hard as hell but well worth it. Now I can actually have a few drinks every now and then and I enjoy it a lot more just doing it occasionally. I know that I have to be careful not to get back into the habit but it's been well over a year now and I'm doing fine.
@sukd26694 жыл бұрын
@@darkwillow57 oh, well done. maybe see it differently if you get trapped again , god forbid, and if so, tighten the noose around the drink by knowing you can only have complete abstinence. we learn as we go along. good job for getting back on track.
@darkwillow574 жыл бұрын
@@sukd2669 I do keep a watchful eye out for it and my girlfriend helps with that. She's not bossy but will be honest if she thinks I'm getting too much momentum again. The most important thing is that I have to be honest with myself about it. I do know that should I need to I can go back to abstinence. I never had to taper off it in the past. I know they say it's dangerous but I've always been able to stop cold turkey before. But I'd like to be able to just use booze occasionally and it not be a crutch. In my younger days I was hooked on marijuana daily but I got tired of it after over a decade. I have tried it occasionally lately and it can be fun but more often it makes me depressed and paranoid so I generally don't do it either. As far as harder drugs I've tried those and I like them but I realize I can't get into them or else I'd be in just as bad a spot as I was with booze if not worse. Although I do think alcohol is one of the most destructive drugs out there. Funny why they made that one legal.
@sukd26694 жыл бұрын
@@darkwillow57 yes, they say keep busy with the time you have spare, but i used it to grow, it leaves a further distance from my past. spirituality helps bcoz it made me realise that with all pleasures theres a down aswell, its best to disconnect with pleasures and meditate, the body then stabilises and one can do great things that no one knows about which also stops suffering completely.
@darkwillow574 жыл бұрын
@@sukd2669 I've done a lot of meditation lately. Not much in any one day but at least 10 minutes almost every day for a couple years now. And I've read eastern philosophy and I have had some enlightenment during a psychedelic experience 20 years ago. I understand intellectually and even sometimes can even feel that there is no I, or ego. But even with all that sometimes happiness is elusive. I've had low grade depression most of my life. Basically it just saps the joy and energy out of life. I'm not necessarily sad but I just don't get into life often times. I'm lethargic and apathetic. For a while I found that the herb kratom helped with that but after a while I had to take more and more of it to get anything. Just like most substances they work for a while then you get a tolerance. So now I'm tapering off it. I've tried all kinds of psychiatric prescription medicines and the same story there.

If u have listened to Satpal's talks, he once said that There is no Hindu, There is no Muslims, There is no Buddhist, There is no Jews and there no Sikhs and Christians. All of us are human beings, trying to understand the relationship between ourselves and the universe. It is in this sense that u r saying its better to be an atheist and I myself completely 1000% agree with u. But as a human being, my Guru has instructed me to understand the nature of my life, my mind and how is my tiny self connected to the entire universe.
@rajvirsingh45524 жыл бұрын
@@FDRJFK Nanak was not a humanist. He is a person who wants to show a human being the true nature or the very core of what is inside a human being. So yeah. He's not a humanist. He's more than that. And Nanak doesn't try to convince a human being to belief in anything. He just has the technology to show a human being that he is more than a lump of body and an accumulation of mind. Whether a person wants to apply this technology in his/her life is completey up to the individual. Nanak is not interested in forcing a belief system down anyone's throat. Its completely up to the individual.
