[spoilers ahead] I really appreciate Gab's shock regarding the ending because I definitely feel the same way XD The fact that Lori caused a cave-in and left Nancy to suffocate (or starve to death, which would have taken even longer) and all anyone did about it was cancel her credit cards and tell her to get a job is a biiiiit terrifying. I mean Nancy was never in any real danger because there was another exit right there but Lori definitely INTENDED to kill her and everyone totally glossed over it like it was nothing. That's what being rich does for you, I guess XD

This is the first video of yours I’ve seen, but it’s so great watching the gears turn in your head, I’m going to watch all your other playthroughs! You know what time it is by now. :D - That horse jumpy game was the first in a series of minigames Her Interactive used to have on their site. You could play an endless version of that, do a fashion design minigame for the next one, and so on. They used to have demos available for a lot of the games too, I think. Not sure when that stuff went away. Probably around the same time the new CEO ruined everything else... >_> - George has dark hair, so I doubt she took Bess's suggestion for "adobe beige" highlights seriously. - When you tell Bess and George that Lori is into Tino, you're just a few feet away from her. Surprised the game let you call them from that close, honestly! It would've been funny if Lori had interjected at that point. - The carbide guy who wrote to Jake was an actual person! - I loved the part when you were trash talking Camille's dolls while sitting in her old car. What trouble could possibly come from that? :P - The picture of the lady in Camille's car is of Ruth Kensington, the niece that Jake left the letter for. Not really sure why Camille had a picture of her husband's niece, but whatever. - If you say "Way to go, Joe..." when talking about the diner job, he defensively says that he can boil water, but he gets confused when there's stuff floating in it. - The taffy is basically the less nasty version of the ick stick from Final Scene, lol. - I haven't looked it up to confirm, but I would bet the engineer is voiced by the original engineer's descendent who Frank eavesdrops on. - For the gemstone placement puzzle, the octopus is the soft arm because, y'know, squooshy tentacles. And the "hand from the deep" symbol was on that salmon ad thing you found in the chest near the eagle picture at 40:30. - You can find the little button Lori stepped on to open up a passage if you poke around the area where Frank and Joe are. I don't think the game lets you actually go through it, but I like that it was put into the game. (Like Nancy once said about a fire extinguisher in an old B&B, "It's good to know it's here.") - The chair by the firepit in the mine (where you find the symbols) is the exact same chair from the Dry Creek jail that you had to lasso. - The minecart ride that the golf ball took in Secret of the Old Clock was definitely foreshadowing and/or the devs testing their minecart animations. - It turns out that the real treasure was the friends Jake met along the way.

A lotta people seem to miss the “hand from the deep” clue. At least, that’s what I see XD which kinda makes sense. It’s just some random piece of paper in a chest, and by the time it’s useful, you’ve most likely forgotten all about it

What I really appreciate about Nancy games "locking" you out of certain puzzles is that the "locks" often make a lot of sense. "You're not supposed to do this puzzle yet because the info it reveals is very important; so there's a person in the room who is actively preventing you from doing something!" It really helps build suspense and intrigue, how do you get them to leave? What does the puzzle reveal? It's so cool and I love it Edit: Lmao as soon as Charleen admitted to plagiarizing Lori I instantly lost all respect for her 😂Tho in her defence that's why you never EVER send script ideas to anyone w/o a contract- that way you can't get your work (read: free ideas) stolen and the receiver is protected from lawsuits (they stole my idea!)

I agree with the old elevator on not trusting it, recently I went to a place called Ruby Falls in Chattanooga Tennessee and the elevator that was used by the miners who discovered this huge waterfall underground, caught fire and they had to shut down the tours for a day. This was the same elevator that was operated in the 1800s.

This was one of the main Nancy Drew games I played as a kid! Never got to finish it because I was so scared of the ghost aspect. Mostly I’m just really shocked at how early in the game you find Lori. Looking back it felt like it took half the game! Even as an adult and watching you play all of the games, this one is definitely one of the best story and puzzle wise. Thanks for bringing some joy to people like me!

Yes correct! "Amethyst goes to Ametrine 1st, then to Citrine" Think of 1 as purple and 3 as Golden+Orange, so Ametrine Can have the Yellows/Oranges/Blacks/Purples/Whites cuz of well impurities and not everything getting the same heat everywhere, however the "Real" money comes down to Craftsmenship how it's cut and smoothed/polished and also some on the carats.

I always have a favorite character in these games, (except shadow at the water's edge I loved everyone even Rentaro in that game) but Fatima might be my favorite overall so far. this is one of the four or five nancy games i've played! they're so much fun (expect for white wolf lodge on the wii 😔 my sisters and i have played that for YEARS on end and never were able to figure out some stuff therefore couldn't finish it 😭). my favorites are the scarlet hand (it's in a museum!!) and the blackmoor manor (i love family drama that goes back centuries and the plant that can eat nancy lol)!

Fun fact: you can actually go the whole game without the emergency brake subplot. If you accomplish everything you need to in the first trip to the caboose, you never have to travel to that one point in the second to last car that triggers the emergency brake.
