Angel, I can’t believe your take on Jim Jones. Jim told the truth. Once the media got a hold of it and talked about abuse, the mom came up with “her story” to save her image. Jim was clear that she tongue kissed him. Mama Jones tried to do damage control. If you know their relationship (they’ve been on several reality shows), the inappropriate behavior makes sense.

With all the damage control he and Mama Jones are doing, Jim realizes he messed up by telling the truth. That behavior is not normal no matter how much one loves their mom.

I'm saying one of the times he more clearly stated that he did kiss his mom (in that same interview) wasn't played on this podcast, so it's easy for Angel or other folks to believe his mom's "clarification" if you don't listen to the whole interview with Jim. but he was clear and I believe him. It's sad that he didn't seem to know there was anything wrong with it!

I’m a middle school counselor in SC, and gender identity/pronouns is definitely real. I have more concern with students trying to hide things from their parents and their parents not accepting it. The other concern that I have, especially in middle school, is that the children are announcing their sexual identity before they are secure in themselves and who they are truly interested, and not being able to handle the backlash from their actions.

Yeah, but learning who you truly are and handling the backlash of one's actions is part of growing up. Personal growth doesn't clock out once puberty hits, then clocks back in when you turn 18. You are trying to process SO MUCH between 11 and 17, and that's going to happen in middle school. Let them. Your job is to guide them through that journey, judgement free. Because we all went through it. Yet when it comes to our kids, we seem to forget.

Not to keep the Jim Jones thing going, but let's please not act like he didn't tell Angela that his mom kissed him on the mouth. Angela: She kissed you?! Jim: It's my mother! ... Remember my moms was 17 ... Based on this exchange, the internet did not go too far. In the moment, he was okay with the audience understanding that his mother kissed him on the mouth and was making an effort to justify it with her age. That can't be explained away as a Freudian slip or a commonly misspoken phrase. What made matters worse is that Jim hopped on social media and awkwardly recanted the story, saying it was just a joke, and thanked everyone for helping him trend. The weird thing is he must've forgotten to tell his mom was a joke or a plot to trend because she had an explanation ready.

@@c0wboys4life The new directions that IAA is going in were not what I naturally would have watched, but I thought about it and realized I wanted to learn more about things I didn't know (I haven't watched Nascar more than 30 minutes in my life lol). But IAA's taught me a lot. Meanwhile The Pivot and Here's The Thing are more of what I know and love like "Mama's Cooking". They are all making high quality content so I gotta support. We need more 👊🏿 content creators doing all sorts of content (even stuff not targeted to me directly). Like Fred Taylor says, exposure leads to expansion...

@@barak-rocky-giles2081 True IAA is still good but Brandon’s he was going with it felt forcefully with the way he only gave us Nascar content for weeks back to back. The Nascar stuff was fine but it made watchers feel like they forgot the original reason we were hear for and just sprinkle the Nascar vids instead here and there throughout his channel but to finally come back and have other sports talk but it’s not with the main crew was totally left and had us questioning what happened between them. Old crew or not I like when we get to see pro athletes settle down and just get to kick it in conversation with one another and talk their ish now that we got two podcast doing that so long as Brandon keeps it going like the last episode I’m fine with it even with some Nascar vid but he honestly needs to take like a month break on the Nascar stuff cuz majority are really over that and is doing the opposite of the sport he was trying to bring more light to.
