100% agree - perfect observation. Awesome that her parents support her in her choices. This is important to me as a parent. In contradiction to the generation to which I was raised, my 8yo daughter's opinion matters, her desires matter, her loves, interests, pain, sorry, everything matters. And she challenges me - not my authority, but the origin from whence I claim my opinion - is it factual or tainted by my perspective, and therefore does she agree with it? This does not include subjects such as "GET YOUR BLOODY SHOES ON AND BRUSH YOUR TEETH WE ARE RUNNING LATE......AGAIN!!!". Mother Cat Lady (think Simpsons) appears often lol. This kid is a legend, well grounded, I hope she goes far and finds enjoyment in the whole journey.....and knows when to pull out when the price exceed what she is willing to pay. :)
