An influencer is not how many people that follow you, it's how many people that do as you say or do. So a person can have 1,000 followers on instagram eg, and 900 of them do as that person says or do, while a person can have 100,000 followers and 100 people do as they say or do. If not bought, some of the followers just like how the photos look or what's in the photos, doesn't mean they will do as the person says or do. Always good to check their comments to see eg, if a person post a travel photo, if the people are asking where they booked their trip or asking direct questions about the trip. of if it's clothes, if comments are asking where to buy it.

As an nano influencer how do you know if people are purchasing? What would tell you that or how do you find that data?

Hi there! For this type of data, you are going to have to check with your audience, to see if you've been able to influence any of their purchases. Also, if you use a specific discount code from a brand, you can use that to track exact # of sales. You can also check your comments for feedback from your audience and see if they tell you directly! J0lteezy Yes! Everyone needs to start somewhere so if you’re end goal is to continue up the ladder, that’s where you’ll start. There are many people (like the examples I gave) that don’t want to be influencers, but brands still reach out because they believe they have a certain level of influence (mostly local). Thought: I think the nano influencers that don't spend time or have any ambitions of growth are a nano minority. People who don't care about that and just go about their lives is becoming a thing of the past lol, more likely to find them around the 300 followers mark. So are we going for pico influencers next? But it might just be my little niche and very different for products and services with more mass appeal where for example beauty is the biggest factor for an "influencer"s success in following. Thanks for the insights!

Is there a formula to measure Instagram story engagement? I think I’m a nano influencer but would like to know if there is a particular percentage I could calculate so that I can pitch myself to brands

I think about a 10% conversion for stories is good, depending on the page obviously though - I've seen higher, and I've seen lower, but that seems to be a good number
