Nanotechnology vs. chemistry. Is there a difference?

Nanotechnology has made tremendous advances in recent years spanning a wide range of applications from biosensors to nano-scaled robots to clothing that cleans itself. Nanotechnology will transform our lives in the 21st century like chemistry changed lives in the 20th century. But is nanotechnology just another name for chemistry? Both are concerned with the arrangement of atoms in a defined way to make a new substance with desirable properties. Both are concerned with structures at the nanometer scale. This video probes the question, “is nanotechnology distinct from chemistry, and if so, how?”
