WBC bantamweight world champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire, the four-weight kingpin whose late-career renaissance cemented his status as one of boxing’s greatest lighter weight champions, has one more shot to stun the Japanese pound-for-pound icon.
Inoue and Donaire will meet in a title unification rematch Tuesday, June 7, at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Inoue and Donaire first fought in November 2019 at Saitama Super Arena, with Inoue overcoming a broken orbital bone and nose to win a unanimous decision in the consensus Fight of the Year.

@@usn3vath3m87 Before their previous fight Inoue was the IBF champion and they made the Mohamed Ali tournament with the trophy on the line, donaire was just well ranked in all rankings then he managed to beat up and tko the young WBA champion (who was also competing) during his run to the final and became the WBA champion so the first fight with inoue was a unification match IBF and WBA on the line Inoue won that's how he got his WBA belt from donaire and of course the Ali trophy. After that inoue defended those titles and donaire knocked out cold the undefeated WBC champ and defended it once so now it's a unification bout with the WBC WBA IBF on the line the WBO being held by John Riel Casimero 💯

I'd want Donaire to win because of his explosive fighting styles and humble character. But realistically, given his age and same strategic fight plans, I think this fight sequel will result in the same outcome as the first. I wish he would've fight this fight in his prime. It would've been a different result altogether. Nevertheless, the first fight was one of the best no nonsense, action packed fight I've witnessed in a long time.

Although older at 39 years of age Donaire is at his very best now mentally, physically (diet also), and with confidence. That being said as long as Inoue has both eyes intact through the fight with clear vision this time he will KO Donaire in the 9th.
