Perennial Lyrics This autumn feels like funeral to me The longest song of grief And not for what has passed But for what shall last Exhausted nature is so tragic and suicidal! Oh how spectacular she is when she kills herself! Death throes are slowly crawling to her toes As the last leaf is falling off her head I'm here with her undressed With a few petals on my breasts We shared opiates and let the landscapes do the same I love your warmth but yet prefer to sleep in cold alone We fixed our eyes up to the sky To see a flight send us farewell Goodbye! May we see each other next time So please, come back to celebrate this festival of life! Then as now fly! Today you reached the point of no return Now cry! And then die! Tomorrow I will meet you with your cells restored Annual tradition of mass destruction In the name of total reconstruction My biggest source of confusion The reason of decay and disillusion Under permanent ice We found a breathless paradise No, we're not dead No, we're not dead Just enjoying coma From the ashes of my roots The new me will rise to live again This is poetry of youth This is poetry of me and you! Absolutely stellar drumming. You can tell when a drummer is playing for the betterment of the song and this guy knows right where it's at with the groove. Killer chops when needed. I love that section with the constant pounding snare with the off kilter guitar riffs. Top notch songwriting from these guys. This is easily a new favorite of mine. I really hope they continue with a more progressive approach like the displayed here. It really makes the heavy parts have so much more impact when the music can breathe in between. 10/10.

Now bear in mind that all band members have family members living in the occupied eastern part of Ukraine. Jinjer had a courage to continue doing what they love despite living in a poor, unstable country where metal music cannot make you money for living. Over the years their dedication made them recognizable on the Ukrainian heavy scene and now they are rocking all over the world with their truly unique music. I feel like they are breathing in new life into Napalm Records and metal music itself. This is fucking remarkable.

@@timmysinvestments3110 you might like the band Cellar Darling as well. They are different from your average metal band as well. KZbin Cellar Darling's song Insomnia. This band uses the electric hurdy gurdy instrument instead of the electric guitar in the solo during the song plus the singer uses clean vocals. They are unique and are former members of the folk metal band, Eluveitie who is also very unique. Highly recommend both Cellar Darling and Eluveitie for any Jinjer fans.

I just love this band. The singer is a beast!!! At one point she sounded so close to Christina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil on the more softer vocals... Gave me chills!
@Theenragedone6 жыл бұрын
She is a beast in the studio. She is only solid live. There is alot of processing, and studio work with her vocals.
@stenc55476 жыл бұрын
And I was thinking that I am the only one that can hear Cristina in some of their songs.
@Theenragedone5 жыл бұрын
"she is fantastic both in the studio and live but you need to have a descent quality venue and a recording device, not just some junk phone camera and screaming public to see the real quality." I've seen her live. She simply is not the same vocalist live. Her growls are not as deep, she has pitch issues, she cups the mic alot to make up for a lack of technique, and her stage presence isn't very strong.
@Theenragedone5 жыл бұрын
"ocal coaches are praising her for her technique, both in cleans and in growls. " I've seen the alleged "vocal coach" videos. I was not impressed with any of them. They are also attempting to talk technique on a studio recording, IE the Pisces video. Which while recorded live, has had serious post processing, and vocal layering. If you watch an actual live, or see her live, her technique is far different. "Vocalists can have a bad day; they can be sick while performing, or their vocal chords may be strained from extensive use during the tour. " This is commonly used excuse. Yes vocalists can have a bad day. That said Tatiana simply isn't the same vocalist live. I've seen her live, and seen several live recordings. I stand by my previous statements. " Brittney from Unleash the Archers (completely different style of music, I know) is a complete vocal beast, " Brittney is a good singer, but not a great singer in my opinion. She has the same issues with mic cupping live that Tatiana does, and it causes the same sound issues. A better example would be Floor Jansen who has amazing technique, and nails her vocals live, or in the studio. "Also, the studio recording is a totally different environment." Yes it is, however there should not be that drastic of a difference, and with Tatiana there is. "Do you have an example of a better vocalist than Tatiana?" Better can be subjective, so I will say better from a range, and technical perspective. Yes I do. His name is Stu Block. I could add plenty of other names as well.
@Theenragedone5 жыл бұрын
"Aledged vocal coaches"?" If you are going to quote me, quote me correctly, and don't misspell the words you are attempting to quote. "Man, you're the prime example of a person who has never done anything similar, and yet tries to belittle great artists." This is an assumption, and an incorrect one at that. " Floor is amazing, yes." Yes she is. " But that doesn't mean that the other two aren't." Britteny isn't on the same level as Floor, though few singers are. You are correct Stu is amazing.

This song is a total masterpiece. I dare to say it's as beautiful as a Nothing Else Matters by Metallica or a Down in a Whole by Alice in Chains. Everything is so on point, so well put together. The lyrics/vocals, the instrumentals... everything sounds so good and "makes sense". I confess I didn't even think that kind of good music was still being made nowadays. Thanks, Jinjer, for restoring my faith in today's music.

Personally, I think JINJER are doing some of the most interesting and exciting stuff in metal right now. Crazy vocals, great guitars, drummer is a beast and they sound amazing live - full fucking package right there! It's just crazy how much progress they've made with every new album. Love how they've started using Tati's cleaner vocals more often, it makes for a great contrast. Can't wait to see them again this year!
