Learn to decoupage with napkins using the burn method that originated from Country Outback Crafts. This technique is amazing! You can get the perfect decoupage on wood or metal using just napkins, a lighter, and glue. Please don't burn your house down trying this at home.

I'm a first-timer here, and I can't tell you how happy I am that I decided to watch this! I absolutely love to craft, but I've been in a slump for quite a while. However, I just about had to pick myself up off the floor when I saw you doing this burn technique!! Now I can't wait to try this myself. I absolutely loved watching you create beauty. Thanks so much for the inspiration!!

Hi Studio MD , I have been crafting for over 50 years and I have used the burning technique not only with paper but also using fabrics. It's a great and fun thing to do. Great work you are doing here xxxxx

I am going to try with fabric. I used fabric to decoupage some dinner plates but wanted to add a centerpiece with the same material. If it works, it will look so neat.

So does it work with heavier grades of paper as well? (Like sheet music or old maps?). I’m guessing anything that you can get ‘soggy’ with the glue works?

The reason it only Burns the paper around whatever you've glued it to it's because your glue is wet, wet won't burn. So when you try burning it after it's dried it's not gonna work the same. Very cool idea I love it🖤🤍
