The real Napoleon would have them questioned for more information. He took the Foundlings Hospital in Moscow under his protection, so to suggest that he'd treat "random" Russians like this shows a lack of knowledge of his character. 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝

And here's another one of those smart-asses who point out movie mistakes as if they work for the Oscars and Rotten Tomatoes, look if New York or Los Anges, let's say, is captured it will be a blow why? It's because it is the CULTURAL and SPIRITUAL CAPITAL of Russia.

@@dumbcow7722GD I am Russian and I can say for sure all talk about the sacredness of Moscow is a myth and propaganda! After Peter the Great, it is quite obvious that St. Petersburg was the capital! It was there that all cultural and political life was concentrated. Even then, Moscow was perceived as a relic of the old boyar order. Perhaps for church circles this had some meaning. But I repeat once again - the Russian elite by that time was well educated, absorbed the ideas of the Enlightenment and the French Encyclopedists, spoke excellent French without an accent, unlike Napoleon (Alexander spoke French better than Napoleon) 😁

No.. there are written testimonies that a concerted effort was underway in October 1941 to leave behind NKVD agents equipped with explosives stealthily placed to kill high placed German officers.

Germany could not win a 2 front war. Only if Hitler had been willing to make peace with the Soviet Union in Germany`s favor early in the war which Stalin was willing to accept could Germany have won the war. Napoleon however was a great strategist, he did desire a favorable peace settlement rather than attempt the impossible to destroy Russia! His blunder was to advance too far into Russia. It was the Tsar who refused peace. Hitler only offered peace to the British which they refused. Hitler lost the war because he offered peace to the side that was unwilling to accept rather than offering peace to the side willing to accept! The reason for this was that Hitler had a racial view of the war rather than strategic. He considered the British to be the same race as Germans and hence refused to harm the British. Churchill however wanted war, not because it was in the interests of Britain but because it was in the interests of his own military career. The fact that the British empire was bankrupt by the end of the war shows that it was not in the interests of Britain to fight a war against Germany because all Hitler wanted to do was gain `living space` for Germany in the east the same barbaric way every other western European nation including the British had already colonized the rest of the world, which was no threat to the west.

I disagree Stalin was in Moscow if he had taken it the red army would have collapsed. Times were different then, Germans had I motorized division and if the capital would have fallen Russia would have collapse. In WW2

I think Stalin would have ordered house by house defence. Allowing Hitler to walk into an undamaged Moscow would have allowed the Germans to safely flood the city with supplies & men, creating a jumping off point for the next part of the invasion. Napoleon had no one to bring him supplies & more men.

You are mistaking 1970's stage acting with being amateurish. They SHOULD have been acting to the camera like every TV series & movie today. Instead they are acting as if in a theatre, so it looks a little silly on KZbin but it looks & sounds good in a theatre.
