In a way it did happen considering the fundamental influences the French Empire have on Europeans countries structures to this day. Europe got extremely close to get a second Charlemagne.

I mean i think i see what you mean my answer was tongue in cheek but still: identities as important as they are national or regional or whatever really don't mean shit in the grand scheme of things without sovereignty, the French empire would have been sovereign but identities would have been preserved (like it was in Holland for example who actually was very happy with the French Empire) or in the actual EU which is is basically a 4th Reich created by the CIA (and a failed attempt from France to tie its psychopath neigbhour to a common currency from fear of him invading his house a fourth time) but where the only threat to identities is the american globalisation and Islam... You can still have your way of life in a xenocracy, most empires/colonies worked that way.

@@harexTHC Reunification of Europe is a bit weir to connect to Napoleon. Not even during the height of the roman empire was all of Europe a single country. Scotland, Ireland, the entire Fennoscandia and everything east of Northern Germany was always outside the roman empire, and it's fracturing broke that up even more. If anything, the 16th century dual monarchy of Spain and Holy Roman Empire was what resembles the EU more in that it was a realm built by political maneuvering and economical interest, not by force of arms.

Use Darthmod and toggle it on. Then boot the game and load the SAVE FILE of the nation you want to play with 40 units as. You actually have to load the save Darthmod gives to have 40 units and booting up a new campaign does nothing
