{Napoleonic Era} The Royal Prussian Army: Organisation, Battles and History Documentary

This is a short documentary on the Royal Prussian Army, who both joined and fought against Napoleon during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The Russian Imperial Army actually admited non-nobility into the officer corps.

They did indeed, but the practice of purchasing commission or cronyism was quite rampant in the pre and after the revolutionary era of europe.

@@General-History101 It was certainly. In the portuguese army it was abolished after 1822. The british did after the Cardwell reforms.
