From the décolletage and up, Princess Victoria looked dazzlingly regal in the cameo tiara befitting a future Queen. The cameo tiara is the most storybook tiara. Definitely not at all modern in any sense, but the connection to a mighty historic past with Napoleon and Josephine is so extraordinary. I love it.

The design and workmanship for both tiaras are breathtaking. The use of pearls and red gold heighten the use of the cameos and adds a special glow to the tiara. The cut steel tiara’s size makes it a major piece to wear. The size and motifs works perfectly for an evening event as the steel was originally cut to sparkle in candlelight. There is a smaller cut steel tiara that members of the family wear on rotation as well.

I just thought of another royal bride who became queen on her wedding day. King Baudouin of The Belgians took the throne in 1951 and married Fabiola in 1960. So, Fabiola of Belgium (originally from Spain) and Silvia of Sweden (from Germany) share that unique link of becoming a queen consort on their wedding day.

@@RoyalFashionNews It's almost the same name as the actress Cybill Shepherd, instead of Cy-bill, Si-byll-a. It's the exact same way of producing the letters, it's just that the short, hard "Y" and "I" changed places. Si - Byll - a. It's a short y. CY-bill / Si-bYll-a Or think of Priscilla Presley, Pri-cill-a is very similar to Si-byll-a. Just that -illa, turns into a -ylla. 3 quick syllables. (Again that same y pronunciation in the word syllables! -YLLA) Silvia on the other hand, are like a long softly drawn out name Siiillvvviiiiia. Not as harsh or quick as Si-bYll-a.

Regarding the Cameo parure, I could see there being a hair comb with a cameo or two on it. If placed properly in the hair, it would have made the tiara look more like a crown or coronet. Seeing as Empress Josephine owned this, I could see the hair comb being the piece missing and it would make sense.

As a semi frequent viewer of your content, I hear you asking to sub to your channels. Let me tell you why I will not. As much as I enjoy the topics you take on I cannot get why are you not improving. It is quite iritating to hear you confusing coats with jackets etc, not knowing the proper naming of the clothing details. There is also the matter of annunciation, obvious lack of script, often repetitons, like you would lack words (actually etc). There is lazyness in checking how to pronounce words that are foreign. You say often that Meg is lazy... and so are unfortunately you. That is the impression I get. You may dissagree or simply think about what I wrote and maybe improve

Cameo set was inspired by cameo tiara of Duchess of Devonshire. Worn to wedding by Duchess of Devonshire..Devonshire Cameos family has owned since Anchorage times
@jonasviking9768
@jonasviking9768 4 ай бұрын
The Devonshire cameo parure was commissioned by the 6th duke of Devonshire (sometimes called the bachelor duke) for his niece the Countess of Granville to wear for the coronation of Tsar Alexander II in Moscow in 1856. The London based jeweler C.S Hancock made the parure. Fun fact about the pieces are that the late dowager duchess has described the set as “prickly “ to wear. The swedish cameo parure was commissioned by Emperor Napoleon for his wife Joséphine in 1809 by his court jeweler Nitot. The jewelry house founded by Nitot and his son still lives on under the name Chaumet. That to this day produces exceptional high quality jewelry. But your comment raises a question......how can the Devonshire parure be the inspiration for a parure that is almost half a century older?
