Assalámu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakátu. Afwan, maulana. I have a question. Why is the Naqsabandiyyah, as far as I understood through this lecture, was like implicitly more special than the others? Again, afwan. I have never been baiy'át-ed so I have no official knowledge of any thariqat. At least in my environment, it's quite hard to join or even find a thariqah or zanawiyah but there are many stories and legends of the awliyas and sheikhs. For instance the story of Sheikh Sitti Jenar, a.k.a Sheikh Abdul Qadir al-Jaelani who was a prominent and controversial sheikh from the Qadariyah thariqah in my country. What I'm trying to say is, in his case, the history of the tragedy of his death implies he also have the wisdom of nothingness/selflessness. The story goes like this: Several man were looking for him to seek knowledge from him. In this time, he was, as I said, a well known teacher. So they met him. When they ask for the teacher to the teacher, he says, "Im am not the sheikh, God is I". The response from the people were not friendly and ready at all. So they tell the people what the sheikh said and then they killed the sheikh. Wallahu alam bissawaaf. 🙏
