Hello everyone , Welcome to my channel In this vlog I am showing you to Narasimha Paravatha Trek.
The Narasimha Parvatha Trek offers stunning views of the surrounding western Ghats , with lush green valleys, thick forests and rolling hills. views from the summit of Narasimha Parvatha are unmatchable bcz of its ideal location in the heart of rain forest surrounding by many mountain ranges.
The trek to witness the marvel of Barkana falls. It gives you a once in a lifetime opportunity to see a waterfall both from below and from it’s point of origin. Water falls from a height of 2200ft that makes it one among the 10 largest waterfalls in India
It is situated ~7Km from Agumbe in the Shivamogga district , ~365Km from Bangalore and 107Km from Mangalore. Narasimha Parvath Trek is the highest peak in Agumbe region height of the peak is 1150m from sea level.
There are two options to start a Narasimha Parvatha Trek :
1) From Malandur, which is there 6Km from Agumbe. The total distance from malandur to Narasimha Parvath Peak is 13km (one side ) through Barkanan Falls.
2) From Kigga , Which is there 10km from Sringeri. The total distance from Kigga to Narasimha Parvath Peak is 6km (one side).
The Narasimha Parvatha Trek difficulty level is Moderate to difficult. and Best time to do trek is November to February is the best time to do trek.
How to reach trek start point from Bangalore : There are night KSRTC buses to Agumbe. It will take around 7-9 hours to reach Agumbe. from Agumbe you can hire auto to malandur. Auto charge will be around 100 to 120 rupees per person.
Narasimha Parvatha Trek Permission :
Before coming to trek you need to take trek permission. The trek falls under the Someshwara Wildlife Sanctuary of Kudremukh National Park.
For Narasimha Parvatha Trekking, you need to first register in the website kudremukhanati... providing the required details. Trekking fee and guide fee will be paid at the forest check post which is on the way to Mallandur village.
Trekking fee per head is Rs-500 and Guide Fee will be charges per group.
